Thanks for a great holiday. We did the lodge-based 'magic of barra' as a group of 6 kayakers with fairly mixed levels of experience. Great kayaking, wildlife, views, company, food and lots of laughter. The whole Clearwater team looked after us really well and the isle of Barra really was a magical place to explore. Would whole-heartedly recommend.

Spent a fabulous afternoon yesterday (19/7/16), with Ben, surfing in the most wonderful location. My 10yr old Orla said it was the best thing ever.

Second trip with Clearwater Paddling didn’t disappoint and I had high expectations. Took the tall ship to St Kilda Chris, Ben and Rebecca expertly managed time, conditions and activities to maximise our experience on the trip. Great value, great food, great weather and great fun. What are you waiting for - book!

My husband and I booked a full day sea kayaking and it was amazing! We were able to borrow all the kit that we needed; I particularly liked the bright colored Palm cags and the boats themselves were in great condition. Emma our guide was very personable and knew a lot about the local area. We were able to see seals and their pups (some of them followed us for several minutes) and caught a glimpse of a golden eagle. Emma even managed to sort the weather, with sunshine making our picnic lunch stop even more enjoyable. We had such a blast that we then went on to book a morning of coasteering. Ben was a calm, down to earth guy who took good care of me (a complete novice) whilst finding more difficult challenges for my husband (who had been coasteering before). His passion for and enjoyment of the natural environment really shone through and we felt extremely fortunate to be able to explore some of the beautiful island of Barra from a more unique viewpoint. All in all, a fantastic couple of days. We will certainly be back in the future and would highly recommend taking a trip with Clearwater.

Just back from a wonderful week of kayaking on the Wilds of Barra trip with Ben - so lucky to be able to camp out for 3 nights and what an amazing experience to kayak with Dolphins and Seals so close by. Thanks to Ben for his gentle but professional guiding; creative and tasty cooking and light touch leadership. Missing the hills and water already.

I can't recommend Clearwater enough. I've done two kayaking weeks with them and have been so well looked after during both trips. Chris and Ben work so hard to make your time with them a success, no matter what weather the Hebrides throws at them. If you have time, please try and spend some extra time on Barra; it is a very special place.

Eve and I booked sea kayaking with Nick from Tobermory. I hadn't been kayaking for almost 20 years and Eve had never been, within a minute of meeting Nick he had put us both at ease. Kitted up, off we set for nearly 5 hrs of kayaking. It was beautiful, relaxing and a great way to see the local area. We saw young cormorants, jellyfish, oyster catchers and seals to name what i remembered. Nick even got to use his underused knife to cut a birthday cake he had bought me. Nick is true gent and very passionate about the kayaking, the sea and all wildlife. If you're planning to go to Tobermory i would definitely recommend booking a sea kayaking session with Nick.
