About Clyde Scouts

Clyde Scouts is one of eight geographical areas that supports Scout Groups and Districts in Scotland and it is recognised as a Scottish Charity by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator; SC010415. We support Scout Groups across the City of Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire and North & South Lanarkshire. The Regional office is based at 21 Elmbank Street, Glasgow where the Scout Council employs a small staff team to support their administrative functions and to support local Scouting across Clyde Region. Clyde Scouts runs an outdoor centre at Auchengillan and Avondyke which provides a focus for the provision of adventure based programme and development activities for young people in local Scout Groups. The Glasgow Scout Shop supplies Scout uniforms, books and badges and outdoor clothing and equipment that supports the programme undertaken by our youth members. The Regional Commissioner is the lead volunteer in the Region and he is supported in his work by the Regional Team and a number of Committees.
