Mostly its about what sort of products you want afterwards really.
Photo shoot wise, as long as its legal...😂 Just kidding - I photograph dogs on their own, dogs with their staff, I offer puppy packages, I love photographing older dogs too! 99% of the time I shoot outdoors, as thats where I like to be. Be that a forest, a Uni campus, the beach or your garden.
Anything can really be done if you put your mind to it - within reason of course 😉

Its National Black Dog Day!
Did you know black dogs are the most overlooked dogs in shelters and other rescue places?
We think thats just silly and Buddy would like to tell those that are considering rescuing a dog, to make an effort to see the black ones, too!
... He himself came from Munlochy Animal Aid after all and he is just perfect!

Last weekend of the Month, must be My walk My bag time!
This time we went up to Abriachan and wandered through the autumn forest. Gosh, it was beautiful.
Its even more beautiful now as we removed a few Vodka bottles, tins and some packaging stuff (hopefully) before hooves or paws could get harmed.
... Could have been worse!

Sneak peek time!!!
Look who had a photo shoot this morning! Its cheeky little run and launch machine Skye! Up until last year she was one of my dog walking clients and man, how i have missed that crazy pooch!... Skye is one of those dogs that NEVER hold still, is ALWAYS on the move and LOVES kissing. She likes to launch herself at you in true staffie form and is one of the most animated dogs i have met in my half a dozen years in pet care. She is AWESOME!
So to those that wonder if their active (i say active, i mean slightly bonkers) dog can have a photo shoot, yes indeed, it can! What you think may be challenging, is easy to me. One, because when it comes to photographing dogs, I seem to have an endless supply of patience (and none in all other aspects of life 😂) Two - because of my own bonkers dogs I learned quite a bit about behaviour and instead of trying to make the dog do something it clearly doesnt want to, i just amend how I shoot. As example - both my guys can and will stay where i want them as they have been trained for it. Skye? She does for a split second and we did get a couple nice calm portraits. But thats not her. She is an action kinda dog, so...action it is! And these are wonderful dont you think?

Saturday evening I met up with Louise and her Bichon Frise Darcy. Darcy has just been diagnosed with a serious condition. Louise lost her other dog only 7 weeks ago, it breaks your heart thinking about it.
What Louise said to me during her consultation was that she wished she had booked the shoot sooner so both dogs could have been there.
... So I hedged a plan. After the shoot i send her a friend request, pinched an Image of Coco and magicked her into that first Image of Darcy, which I had taken on purpose just like that. (Now i dont just go stealing Images btw - I would have not posted this if it wasnt ok with Louise)
Kindness and thoughtfulness is something the world lacks. I dont want praise and I am not telling you the backstory to make myself look good, I am telling you so I can say this:
If you ever considered booking a shoot - Dont wait too long. I'm not the only pet photographer in this area, so if my style doesn't suit you, I am sure there is someone for you!

A wee reminder about available dates 😉

I'm not usually this quick but I started working on the Images and then I couldn't seem to stop... Late night and early morning but client galleries are out! Carmina and Duncan are even more on the ball and have already chosen their Images so I can now share some more from their shoot yesterday :)
I am still somewhere up on cloud 9, I just ADORE these captures and I really hope the next 3 month pass real quick so we can get to the next shoot!

Oh my word! Would you just look at this fluffy bottomed white Angel of cuteness?
I could have stolen her, just to have more fluffy cuddles!
... In all seriousness though, what you see here, disguised in all that cuteness, is a 10 year old golden Oldie who hasn't got the memo that she indeed, is all grown up 😂
She was such a wee star, posing in all sorts of places around the UHI in Inverness! And I believe that is also my very first Bichon Frise, I love 'ticking breeds of the list'. They are all so different, its grand getting to spend time with so many characters!
It was wonderful to meet you and Darcy, Louise, I had a wonderful time 😍 I hope you love your sneak peak and I have today's galleries ready as soon as I can x

Busy Saturday for me, and I am loving it!
Started with this awesome lot - Owners Duncan and Carmina, with big bear Bizmarck the Leonberger and new addition, Harley the staffie pup!
We had a Leonberger when I grew up, his name was Douglas and he was a Legend - Bizzie is no less so! Gentle giants and he is so very good with his wee sister!
... Carmina purchased a puppy pack - 3 shoots during the course of a year so we will all get to see this wee darling grow up! Excited doesn't quite cover it!

I guess you, like me, have a very special bond with your dog(s)? You love them like family and they play a very important role in your life. So, I reckon, you found me, because you would like to make some real memories you can cherish for the rest of your life. And let me photograph them so you have a visual re...minder of happy days. There aren’t many things better than looking back, years from now, and being reminded of that day you went to the beach and just had fun. Maybe you want to be in the picture, maybe you would rather just see your dog running through the sea, or a forest, or playing with a ball. Personally, I love nothing better than observing a dog being a dog. Jumping, barking, playing with you, running, or just staring at a birdie, that’s the life, right!? Or that look when you ask them ‘Do you want a biscuit?’ It’s the best! Whenever I take my double trouble to the water, I can hardly resist (and often don’t!) just getting in joining the fun, camera in tow. That’s where the fun is, so that’s where you’ll find me. We don’t want posed, unnatural shots here. Sure, some are a little premeditated, especially for those excited sorts who you may think aren’t suitable for a photo shoot, but let me tell you, any pet can look great in a picture if given a chance. The shy ones, the bouncy ones, the wriggly bum ones, the ones that jump or get super excited. To me, its all just Joy! All you need, is a little bit of fun!

Utterly perfect in every way! Traveled to my chosen destination and took THE most gorgeous pictures of my Hugo! Nothing was too much for her, she even waded into the water shoes and all to get the water shots. Just brilliant, I cannot recommend highly enough! <3

Our boy Gibbs was diagnosed with cancer on 27 April. Initially we thought we were losing him within a week, then the results came back and it was stage 5 lymphoma. We’re still going to lose him but thanks to chemo and Glasgow vet school his life could be extended. The lovely Chantal agreed to do a photo shoot with us to make some special memories, and boy are they special! The photos are amazing! You’d never know how ill Gibbs is in them! Thank you doesn’t even come close ��

I was lucky enough to win a photo shoot for our dog Rosie. A very excitable Labrador. In the past 6 years I think our family has only managed around a dozen 'good' photos despite taking thousands, mostly of an incomplete blurry dog!!!

Chantel did the impossible and made it very difficult to choose our favourites. I would highly recommend her to anyone to get lovely photos of your precious pets.

I love the pictures that Chantal did for breastfeeding awareness week. After the main photo was taken she offered the mums the opportunity to have their individual pics taken with their babies. I absolutely love the photo of myself and Orla. Fantastic photos, would recommend to anyone. Thank you again ��

Had the opportunity to undertake a shoot with Chantal and an idea she had with her adorable dog Jack. Loved the shoot and the image achieved. Chantal took photos for the breast feeding awareness week yesterday. After the main photo of the group Chantal had some free time and offered mum and baby single photos.
