Coalburn I.O.R. Pipe Band

We’ll be taking a trip east tomorrow for our first outing of the competition season in Dunbar.
There will be a bus going if anyone would like to come along for a day out, open to all. There will be stops in Coalburn, Lesmahagow, Kirkmuirhill, Larkhall and Hamilton. If anyone would like a seat please send us a private message.
Dunbar is the home of the famous Belhaven brewery if that sways your decision.........

A great afternoon was had at Hollandbush Golf Course today as they generously opened the doors to provide free Christmas meals to elderly members of the local community who otherwise would have had a quiet Christmas.
The band were privileged and honoured to be able to attend and help with some entertainment.
Our congratulations and best wishes go to all organisers and volunteers throughout the day who helped make this event special. Exactly what our local community and spir...it is all about!!

The afternoon will start with the Band parading through the village with Santa and our Gala Day Retinue.
Bring the kids to see Santa, have a photograph taken with him, drop off their letter in the special postbox and get a personal reply!!
There will also be various stalls which will include home baking, Christmas Gifts, tombola, raffles etc. Tea, coffee or non alcoholic Mulled Wine will also be available.
We look forward to seeing everyone from the village!!

With the bands final contest of the season yesterday and with the 2018 contest season drawing to a close, we are currently looking to recruit both pipers and drummers.
We have always welcomed musicians of all standards and abilities but ideally players must either be at learner stage or of a suitable grade 3a standard.
We have recently added several players to the ranks for the 2018 season so we see this as the perfect time to introduce new players who are hard working, dedi...cated and passionate towards playing.
