Coastal Kippford (Kippford Holiday Park)

Great location near Kippford. Unfortunately I understand they no longer take motorhomes and touring caravans which is such a shame as we had a lovely stay and would definitely have been back. I give my five star rating based on our visit in our motorhome. Such a shame there wasn't room to keep the touring site open.

Really peacefull (Clearly managed to be like that) and a great base. Some fantastic walks and scenery near by. Wet wet week, to be expected.

Nice scenic caravan park. Good views open 12 months but didn't like the 15 year policy on van replacement and the fact that they will sell a van that only has a few years left on it.

This was our first visit to the Scottish countryside and got lucky with this lovely holiday park.

We stayed in one of the bungalows which was comfy, with good facilities and felt very private thanks to the surrounding greenery. We didn't manage to spot any squirrels, but there were rabbits aplenty!

The onsite shop was closed during our stay, but there's a Londis in nearby Colvend for all the essentials.

There are a couple of playgrounds for the kids on site which could perhaps do with a little TLC, but otherwise good for an hour's entertainment.

On our first day we ventured off onto one of the woodland walks down towards Kippford town, but despite the map provided we found the walks weren't that well signposted and we ended up off piste! This was probably user error, but worth mentioning for those embarking on the same journey :)

The local coastal walks were beautiful and there are loads of attractions and towns within a 30 minute drive radius, for example: Galloway Activity Centre, Cream o' Galloway, Kirkcudbright (which we learned is pronounced "Ker-coo-bree"!) and Castle Douglas.

Great location, great for dog walking, great food and drink nearby and everyone so friendly.

Kippford site is so pretty and peaceful. Well kept and the caravans are top class. A great central point for touring the area with loads to see and do nearby. Shop is well stocked and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit highly recommended
