Colvend Golf Club is a great traditional Scottish golf course that uses the land as the good Lord gave it to us in the Donald Ross tradition of course design.The view from the third hole of the Firth is awesome! While the course is not long by modern standards , the elevation changes and prevailing winds insure that you will need to use every club in the bag to score well. The Club Pro/Manager is very friendly and helpful and he goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Greens fees are very affordable and the pace of play is very good. I Have played many of the top courses in the United States(like Torrey Pines, Pinehurst #2 etc), and when you look at the total golf experience of challenge, affordability, playability and scenery, I put playing at Colvend to be one of the best golf experiences that I have had.
Excellent course greens in great condition. Locals and Peter very welcoming. Apparently they have small membership so really easy to get a round in. Highly recommended.
Fabulous golf course. Something surprising on most holes and a lovely surprise for us to have found such a gem. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be returning. Well worth a visit.
