Chips in Edinburgh are generally overpriced, tiny portions of bulk purchased frozen chips fried for too little time. Of the chips I've had Comiston Fry is not too bad. Portion size is okay and the chips are from genuine potatoes. I have occasionally tasted reused, old or beef dripping on the fat though, so gone off them a bit.

Decided on a fish and chip treat after cinema, what a let down, was disappointed after looking at reviews I thought a lovely treat the batter was soft not crispy the chips ineable the cat got most off the fish,Will defo not be back

Awful. Greasy horrible chips and a mince pie that was inedible, probably lying around for days.

Also expensive, around 15% dearer than competition.

Only reason they get two stars is that owner was pleasant.

Good fish and chips, hit the spot!

User

Very average. Not bad, in that the food is edible, service is good, and cleanliness standard is high, but the fish and chips just doesn't feel "authentic chip shop" enough. Unlikely I'll go back.

Lovely pizza not too big. Reasonable price.

Fish was fresh but had to wait 20 mins
