Common Lane Farm Shop Description
Opening Times:
Thursday : 9am - 7pm
Friday : 9am - 5pm
Saturday : 9am - 4pm
Closed: 1pm - 2pm for lunch.
We are a family-farm shop selling traditionally reared Beef, Pork and Lamb. We also make a range of burgers and sausages including gluten-free as well as our smoked and unsmoked gammons.
The cattle are Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cross. We also have a pedigree Hereford Bull ''Laxfield Just the Job''.
The pigs are Large White Cross.
The sheep are Poll Dorset.
The cattle and sheep spend the Spring, Summer and Autumn months grazing on rich water meadow pasture full of ancient grasses and seeds. Some of our cattle can be seen on the Commons in Cambridge.
The winter months are spent in straw bedded sheds with open yards being feed on hay, straw, potatoes and sugar beet.
