Went today for the first time..I have actually never even heard of it before so I wonder is it a new business? Anyway had breakfast in the bistro the food was lovely and well priced. Had my 2 kids with me and the staff were very friendly and accommodating with them. Will defo be back and recommending this place to friends thanks very much.

User

We went to Conifox yesterday with our granddaughters and we had a great time pumpkin carving and playing in the adventure land. It was worth the money to see the smiles on their faces. This is something different to do with the children. The cafe does quality food, the girls particularly liked their luxury hot chocolates with marshmallows and chocolate sauce.

User

We visited today and what a found.

We paid £20 for family entry,my husband and 6y son are big fans of F1 so it was difficult to pull them both out from go-karts😉They kept chaising each other for good two hours.

My 3yo daughter and I tried big bouncy pillow and trampolines, also toddler area was great.

We didn't eat any food at the bistro apart from fries(£3 with nice seasoning) as we arrived after lunch,we brought our snacks.

we used toilet facilities and the only one criticism would be there are quite far away.

Especially for a child who can't hold for too long.

Staff were always around making sure no one was running across racing tracks and all the go karts were ordered.

Will be back.

We had a private party at Conifox to celebrate my husband Angus's 50th birthday at it was a great evening. Right from the start Chris & his team were fantastic & very organised. We had a great choice of food, drinks & music. The venue is very adaptable to suit your needs. Everyone had an amazing night & all our friends & family said how great the venue is, how delicious the food was & everyone commented on the fantastic staff. We wouldn't hesitate to hold another event there and would highly recommend it for private parties! Thank you Team Conifox!

User

Today we went for breakfast with santa. It was very well organised, staff all friendly and food was great! We had our own time with santa and a helpful elf came to get us when santa was ready and whwn we got back our breakfast was ready...perfect timing! It looks as though we may have just started a family tradition x

User

I'm a childminder from Dundee and brought 5 kids today. It's the first time we've ever been and will definitely not be the last. We had a load of fun, the staff were really helpful, the equipment in great condition, the loos clean! All in all we had an excellent time and will be telling our friends about it.

User

I had great time with my daughter and two grandchildren. The kids loved the park and would have stayed and played all day. I even had a go on the go-carts myself. Went in to the Bistro for snacks. The staff were lovely and helpful at the park and in The Bistro. Will Be Back.

User

Great place for the kids and a lovely lunch in the bistro! Very safe and secure with lots of fun stuff for the kids to do. Look forward to the indoor soft play when it’s built!

User

Great food and lovely play area, perfect for kids and adults.

You can see that the owners are building something special here. It is early days for the play but you can’t fault it so far!

Plus the staff are fantastic!

User

Came yesterday with my 5 year old and his friend and they both really enjoyed it. It poured of rain so we sheltered next to the bistro where my son planted a tree. The lady was very friendly!! They loved the treasure hunt. And everytbing else in the park. It was too wet for the football golf but thought was a good idea, maybe next time.

We had food didn't wait long and everyone enjoyed what we had to eat.

Toilets were lovely and clean!! Look forward to coming back when the Sun's out!

User

As a first time customer of the bistro my OH and I were cautious.

Too late to go on Father’s Day as fully booked but when enquiring about menus etc we were advised to book in future to avoid disappointment

Lady on duty was so helpful and even went upstairs to print copy menus for us to study

We booked there and then and so glad we did as the food was super and the service also

Everyone very friendly so we booked again for a second visit - exactly the same experience so we bought vouchers to give to someone we know will enjoy their visit and we hope to encourage yet more people to visit this exciting place and sample the lovely food

I would advise booking if possible though as the bistro is so popular

We’ve left booking to the morning of our visit sometimes and the knowledge that our table is there for us makes us feel secure

In our 80’s and slightly disabled we don’t like to rush!!

We both have hearty appetites and enjoy our food so for us Conifox is ideal and we would highly recommend it ( and we

do!

Give it a try - you won’t be disappointed

We were inspired to leave a review after reading negative reviews which are unfair as a picture of Conifox

Some earlier teething problems might have occurred but they have been addressed and everyone has a lovely time - including the dogs!

The garden centre is a little disappointing but the staff knowledgeable and friendly, eager to help and listen to gardening problems

User

5* day out! Finally made it along with my 2 year old today, picked up a latte and scone from the bistro (both were delicious!) & headed to the picnic benches by the toddler play area. Had non stop fun for hours, we both left exhausted! Will be back with my 3 year old and family next time, bistro looked lovely and were putting out some tasty looking bacon rolls so planning a lunch there soon! Recommend to all, great day out.

User

Went to the adventure park for the first time today - my kids have been loads of times with my mum, who has bought membership for herself and my two boys. My boys love it and had a fantastic time. I appreciate that adults have to pay because of the equipment being suitable for adults (have read previous comments) but wondered if the annual membership could be adjusted to be the named children with one supervising adult, rather than a named adult? Obviously if more than one adult then would pay for them. This would mean that my kids could enjoy the park on their membership with me, my husband or my mum bringing them - as it stands we are likely to come much less as I will not pay membership for multiple adults to bring the same kids! It is after all aimed at children and families but adults are not going to come on their own for an adult's day out so really the kids should get the benefit. Great play facilities otherwise. I would say the toilets are miles away, quite difficult for a recently potty trained child, and the staff are very keen to emphasize that children must be supervised at all times meaning you have to drag other children off the equipment and take everyone to the toilet! Hoping there might be plans for a closer toilet block!

User

We attend with 2 Itison Vouchers which would admit 4 Adults 2 kids. I was there alone with 3 kids to meet friends (not all families are made up of 2 parents and a child). I fully understand the terms of the voucher but there was no room for manoeuvre or paying the £1 difference between adult/kid price so paid a further £6. I expect to be welcomed by a park briming with adventure but instead the Bouncy Pillow was closed so this left go karts and football/golf in a field. We managed, along with several parents to convince the very stern woman to eventually open it much to the kids delight (it hadn't rained since the early hours and it was past lunchtime).

Have to say charging adults is a bit much as we're only there to help the kids have fun and supervise them (as there are no members of staff in the playground at all), even a nominal fee but £5!

All in all, kids had a nice day with friends but neither family will rush back.

User

It was a nice place to go as a family when the sun is out. It could be doing with a barn or something that could have used to play in when it rains with a sandpit for example. Disappointed no maze or flying fox as mentioned on the website...a bit of false advertising!!

User

We didn't use the adventure park today. Our visit was for the purpose of lunch and the garden centre. This was our first visit and we were very disappointed with the customer service. We phoned ahead to ask about bringing dogs and were told we could but would have to eat outside. This was no problem but we had been told we could order bistro food to eat outside. On arrival the girl at the bistro door was very unhelpful, only kids boxes could be taken outside and the food would have to be barbecue food. We asked about a vegetarian option and she didn't know. My daughter then went in to explain she had phoned ahead and what she had been told. Another member of staff then offered tea, scones and some minestrone soup to takeaway. Whilst this wasn't what we were looking for, we settled and ordered. Only to go outside and find other customers eating soup from bowls not in paper cups and being served tea in teacups and teapots, not paper cups!

Preferring not to cause a scene, we finished our food and went in to the garden centre, where a member of staff made us feel very uncomfortable by continually following us around.

Safe to say we won't be visiting again and will prefer in the future to spend our money elsewhere where staff are friendly and helpful.

User

Very unwelcoming and not cyclist friendly. As a group of around 20, we were told that we could not be taken inside and that we had to eat outside from the barbecue. Upon advising I was vegetarian, I was further advised I could not buy any of the veggie selection inside and take it outside. I ended up with the veggie hotdog in a take it or leave it scenario. Poor customer service.

User

My mum booked a table for Easter lunch today and it was very disappointing. Took a long time to get drinks ordered, we weren’t told what the roast was or what was sold out. Starter plates were cleared and we were asked if we wanted dessert menus, staff had no clue what was going on! mains came (4adults all had the roast) the mains arrived one of us had 4 potatoes the rest 3 (boiled not roast) I had a lot of carrots, while the rest had a mix. Portion control was none existent! Everything was very bland! The lamb was extremely fatty and raw in places, tried to persevere with it however we couldn’t. No-one came to check how the mains were. Complained at the time and granted we did get the 4 mains taken off the bill. However for Easter Sunday it was very disappointing and we won’t be returning!

User

Arrived today at 3.25pm for a late lunch. We had our dog with us so understood we would have to sit and eat outside - not a problem on such a lovely day!

Having never been before, my husband went inside to ask if we just took a seat outside or ordered our food first. He was told that because we were sitting outside, we could not order any hot food from the Bistro menu but that we could eat from the BBQ.

We found a table and then my husband went to the BBQ to be told

that it was now closed. So essentially, we could have no hot food at all, though we could have a sandwich. As you can imagine, this was a bit of a let down and so we left with nothing.

A real shame that somewhere we thought was relatively dog friendly discriminates against those with dogs by offering such a limited outdoor menu... Perhaps this should be made clearer on website to save dog owners a wasted trip!
