Costa Coffee

A delightful suprise the manger deserves a payrise well done costa gretna thanks for that!!!

We had a 'decent' cappuccino together with a more-ish raspberry and white chocolate muffin. BUT we also had overpriced sandwiches, overpriced crisps and overpriced hard oatmeal biscuits.
Sadly all staff were so focussed on serving customers that the place was filthy, especially the toilets.
During our 45 minute stay we didn't witness one member of the Costa team carrying out any cleaning duties. This left a rather unpleasant after-taste to what could have been a 3 or 4 star review!

Shop itself is great , I have a problem with people sitting outside smoking . Had to endure a cloud of smoke both going in and coming out of the shop ! When I questioned why this was happening I was informed quite rudely that it was well within the law for people to be there smoking as there was only a rooftop and the sides were open ! Well there happens to be a wall at the door . I then asked about the lack of ashtrays as people were using coffee lids to put out their cigs or chucking them on the floor !
I was told they use the bins (which aren't even within throwing distance and not provided by Costa !)
In my opinion this is not a good advert for the store , cig buts and ash lying about . Why not have some no smoking tables around the doorway ?? I have visited plenty other Costa shops where this is the case .

Normally a big fan of Costa Coffee but visited the Gretna Gateway branch today & bought the coffee banoffee frestino. Anything banoffee flavoured is usually sweet. This was really bitter...not pleasant tasting at all. Even put a sachet of sugar in it but it was no better. Took 5 or 6 sips of it then put it in the bin. SO disappointing & a waste of money 🙁
