Pathetic customer service.
Im sure everyone must be delighted the way they respond and show interest while renting out the property.
It is going to be hell to deal with them once you vacate the property. very stratagical in getting your deposit back for nothing.

Also, ensure you take pics of the property before moving in. ensure you end an email with a detailed report about the property. so that it will help during the end of the tenancy.

DO NOT RECOMMEND !

Please do something, anything to stop the loud noises coming from your tenant's in flat 2/1, 22 Grierson St, Friday 1st Sept from 8pm onward the thumping noise of DRUMS and then singing coming through the walls is appalling. We are not used to such anti-social activity within this area Countrywide Scotland.

Their tenants are running amok, party after party, now 3 weekend in a row and countrywide do nothing/do not even reply to email request, NOTHING....LIKE TENANTS LIKE LANDLORDS = OUT OF CONTROL.

Some very rude staff and I would not recommend for letting/renting. An agent gave 20 minutes notice to arrange viewing of flat and when they didn't receive a response in this time went on to let themselves into the flat without my permission, which is illegal according to the Housing Act 1988.

This is a very tenant-unfriendly place. They definitely speak to you in a very friendly manner, but it's deceiving because they treat you like crap and leave you hanging. They don't give you timely updates, they don't give you any specific reasons as to why your application was rejected. Just a vague, "there are many applicants, the landlord will make a decision." I got the feeling that the landlord wasn't intimately involved in the process at all. It feels like they just screen applications based on arbitrary metrics and their personal whims. I offered 6 months' rent upfront. They didn't even have the courtesy to give me an explanation regarding my rejection- just a terse one sentence email that I was rejected. I went to their office on three separate occasions, and gave up after feeling like they didn't want or need my business. They didn't even ask me for any documents for my application! The whole thing felt like a time-wasting sham and that they had already picked their tenant before I walked in. I'm actually thankful because that prompted me to check other letting agencies, and I was treated waaay better at Central Letting Services, Happy Lets, KPM and Let It- those agencies seem to be much more tenant friendly. Countrywide acts as if they don't need any business. They could very well have plenty, in which case, it makes no sense to waste your time when you have plenty of other, more tenant friendly, agencies to choose from. So, if you're searching on Rightmove, you might as well ignore Countrywide listings, because chances are that you won't get the unit you want, and you'll feel like you completely wasted your time. May be it's just their Candleriggs branch? I was treated much better by their Shawlands branch.

I paid the rent fom a year in advance and the month that is needed to be payed I payed it too .
But still they kept emailing me stating that I did not pay the rent and that they are going to sue me.I replied to their emails many times stating that I did pay it but no one replied to me at all.but they kept sending them without replying to my email.I had to had treatment in the hospital which was disturbed because of them.

When I went to them even though I was sick they were rude to me and someone told me that I was rude which I wasn't .I did not even receive an apology whatsoever.

This letting agents would be average I guess if they would atleast reply to their phone calls!

They only have one woman who handles leases and move ins (why???) and she usually gets her colleagues to lie that she is out of office when she is not! RUDE

The true saviour of this branch is the blonde lady with the English accent (not sure what her name was!) - she was the only one who was any help and made everything a good experience, the others in the office should take note!!!!!!

Complete disaster from start to finish. An extreme lack of communication between the employees here and continually told I will be "phoned back" which never happened. Definitely won't be using this firm for my next home!

1. Some flats are in fact has been reserved before they post it! How? 2. They present you to the landlord based on their preferences. It was very hard to correct my details about ME!!
