Good value and friendly and helpful staff
Very friendly and helpful staff and clean beds but the place is very dismal and in need of refurbishment. Stale smell on entry and public lounge/conservatory which not very appealing. Very poor quality ingredients used for cooked breakfast especially bread used for toast (only time I couldn't eat toast at a hotel !!).
Only one working socket in room which had no mirror near so problem using hairdryer etc .
Although a double socket only one was working and I was concerned about safety of the electrics. Very creaky floors and poor soundproofing plus seemed to be a noisy boiler above my room bubbling away most of one night keeping me from a decent sleep.
Everything seems to be done on the cheap and would agree with a previous reviewer that it seems more like digs than a hotel.
Would not return and would not recommend. It is a shame because good staff and good potential if a bit of TLC and money was spent on it.
Could do with a total shake up, bad breakfast, food cooked with no regard for consumption, w.c had to be repaired, electric sockets were faulty some not working, this is a accident waiting to happen, but I could not fault the staff
Fab place to stay staff are great and very welcoming, locals are great and very friendly.
Stayed here with our 11 month old son, room was fantastic staff were amazing and welcoming and really child friendly. We would definitely recommend this place and we would come back in a heartbeat
Very friendly, flexible staff, nothing was too much trouble. Amazing food, very large portion sizes. Spotlessly clean, our stay was too brief. Will definitely use again
