Crafty Bairns

About Crafty Bairns

'Crafty Bairns' is an Art, Craft, and lunch club for pre school age children held in Crail Kirk Hall, 1st Friday of the month, 12 - 2pm.

Crafty Bairns Description

We are very excited to be launching 'Crafty Bairns' - a new Arts & Crafts club where pre school age children and their families can come and enjoy soup and a roll, with tea & coffee for adults, followed by inventive craft activities producing work that the children can take home with them. The club will run monthly for two hours, to coincide with pick up times from Crail nursery & school, and will be a place where children can meet up and make things together. Each month we will plan craft activities that may for instance represent the time of year, celebrations, have a connection to local food, harbour, or open studio festival, or be connected to our coastline and encourage young children to try manageable skills such as simple sewing, printing, model making, painting, collage etc. We hope to draw in parents, grandparents and child carers and create a happy little group where children can play, socialise, learn and explore their creativity. . . . and get messy!
