Bags & Accessories - Handmade in the Highlands

Hello, I'm Jo and I make a variety of bags, accessories and quilts. I grew up in Lairg and now live in Dornoch where I'm a stay at home mum to 3 wee boys. I have always enjoyed various crafts. Up until recently I just made things for myself and as gifts for my family and friends - but now seems to be the time to try and expand!

I love to knit, sew and embroider but I find sewing especially rewarding. I love choosing and matching fabrics. I'm a big fan of cotton prints - there are so many funky prints out there. The possibilities are endless! I also really enjoy working with Harris Tweed. It is such a fantastic fabric with a rich history and the modern colour combinations are fabulous.

Some of the items I make are designed by me and others are made using patterns with limited commercial licences. If I have used one of these patterns I will always credit the original designer. I hope to introduce some new designs of my own in the near future - I have lots of ideas bubbling away!
