Craigard Description
On the shore of Loch Craignish sits the village of Ardfern, encapsulating all that is beautiful about Mid Argyll and the wonderful west coast of Scotland. The house at Craigard, sitting on the edge of the village, gives you the opportunity to stay in this stunning location and enjoy the local amenities.
There's a wonderful hotel, The Galley of Lorne, serving superb local produce and with a friendly bar, a yacht marina from which you can take boat trips to see the wildlife (including whales! ) and sail through the Corryvrekan whirlpool, and pony-trekking on the Lunga Estate. There's a well stocked local shop that doubles as a post office. You can even hone your skills in the kitchen at the Crook School of Cookery.
Craigard sits at the end of a single track road up behind the Village Hall. . . . . very peaceful and safe for children. It sleeps up to eight people, with an additional travel cot for a baby or toddler. A large deck makes the best of the views down the loch (surely the best in Ardfern! ), the perfect spot for a barbecue or just relaxing with a glass of wine.
