What a great little place, our 9 month old grandson loved the indoor beach . Cafe was lovely and very good baby change facilities. All the staff were very friendly we will definitely be back x

Had our first visit today with my 2yr old & 3.5yr old. Was easy to find, staff were so pleasant & helpful! The gift shop is fab. Sandpit play area was different to the usual soft play & the kids loved it. Bonus was the coffee was good too. Definitely getting lunch & cake next time though xx

Great selection of plants, staff very helpful. Coffee shop, lovely lunch, cheery assistants, couldn't have asked for better. Great day.

First time visiting today. After hearing great reviews about the indoor beach I was keen to bring my daughter to try it out. We were not disappointed and she absolutely loved it. Even after the 2 hours was up she wanted to stay. Makes a nice change from Softplay. £3 for 2 hours plus a balloon is not bad value for money. Only little thing, I ordered a kids packed lunch which I think must be prepared in advance as the bread was a little stale like it had been kept in a fridge. Also the waitress had gone before I realized she hadn't brought sugar for my coffee. I was there alone with my daughter today so meant I had to interrupt her playing to trail her through to the cafe to get sugar which she wasnt happy about. Maybe an idea to have a small table somewhere within the beach area with sugar etc so people can help themselves and don't have to go back through to the cafe? As I said just a couple if small points but will defo be back! Would be interesting to hear about the party packages!

Fantastic set up , had my daughters 2nd birthday party here owner and staff couldn't do enough food was great service was great and was very well priced and the place was well heated the owner offered on more than one occasion to turn the heating up and staff regularly checked if we needed anything , well worth a visit.

Came for the 1st time yesterday to try out the new sandpit with my 3 year old and 1 year old. They both loved it and still weren't bored after 2 hours of play. It makes a nice change from soft play and even better that you can enjoy a coffee and bite to eat while they play. Could you post more info about parties as I may be interested in holding a party in February. X

Been twice now. My 2 year old girl loves the Indoor sand pit. she plays for hours and has lots of fun. Was surprised with how delicious the food was. Homemade burger, potato wedges and coleslaw is soo tasty. staff are friendly too. defo recommend

A great wee find today. My little.boy enjoyed the sand and toys. My soup was lovely and my husband enjoyed the BLT sandwich. Will be back again.

Took our 2 children aged 3&8yrs. Both enjoyed themselves but i feel like it was a little bit on the small side. Would benefit from an extra few feet bigger & more tables. Also it would be better if the sand was more wet as the children were trying to build sandcastles etc & when pulling the bucket off the sand was just collapsing. Maybe lightly spraying the sand each morning before opening then i think the children would have even more fun x

My kids enjoy the sandpit, something different to soft play! Can be a bit cold but there does seem to be a new heating system so hopefully that makes a difference! food is a bit overpriced but they do make a good roll&sausage!!! Overall definitely worth a visit, £3 for 2 hours is good value especially if youve 3 kids lol!

I was here yesterday and today, yesterday morning and today around lunchtime. I had 2 very different experiences. Yesterday morning was great, the sand pit was quiet and the cafe was fairly quiet too. My 18 month old and 4 year old had so much fun. So much so, my 4 year old wanted to go back today again... so I arranged to meet a friend and her 5 year old. The staff signing us in were unsure if there was a table free. We paid then popped down to have a look. The tables seemed full of packed lunches and people's belongings but not necessarily anyone there. We decided to have lunch in the restaurant and pop back down... by this time a few tables were free. It's great the place was busy but I feel during busy times the sand pit might need more of a staff presence to keep tables cleared and maybe assist with seating etc. All in all, still a lovely experience. Kids were safe, entertained and happy for the full time we were there. Might just need to make a point to go in the mornings.

Brilliant concept.

Would be a great idea idea to extend the sandpit and seating area. Well worth the half hour drive!

First time there yesterday for breakfast, was lovely and staff were all lovely. Only thing that disappointed was seeing a man and his daughter come in only to walk out ten minutes later because they hadn't had their order taken, coffee shop wasn't busy at this point!

User

Don’t go very often and only for food and nursery not indoor sand pit which seems to have lots of negative feedback. Always enjoyed the food/variety and find it value for money. Staff always friendly and good for a change.

User

Been here many times , first time with as many folk , celebrating friends birthday with afternoon tea , nine of us ,great selection of food

User

Think this should be called Craigend 'coffee ' shop and nursery .visited here as wanted to buy some plants for my garden. Took me all of about 5mins to look round your selection of plants . your reviews are mostly regarding your cafe so thought I would come along and have a look at the nursery bit. Very disappointed . Thought it would of been a lot bigger and a lot more selection considering the time of year .

I was up with my daughter age 4, she absolutly loved it, she played away for 2 hours. The only thing was that it was absolutely freezing, it was like being at a real outside beach in Scotland. She suffers from asthma, and the cold has triggered her off. It will need to be warm the next time I bring her.

User

First visit today. After all the great reviews, we were really looking forward to going. We had some fun at the indoor beach, but more thought needs to be put into facilities for hand washing etc. The cafe was really hit and miss for both food and customer service. Some items really overpriced, some really good value. The child's macaroni and paninis were the highlights. Overall I felt the service/facilities were lacking and the visit left us feeling underwhelmed.

User

Disappointed!

I have been here before just over a year ago and after going today I've now remembered why I didn't go back before now. The sandpit is expensive for what it is (£3 for a child over 1), it was cold despite it being a warm day outside. Cafe was chaos, poor service and food not of very good quality for the price. My friend was pulled up for going up to the counter to ask for a drink and a banana for her son after we finished our main meal as it's table service but no one was serving us! They also don't tell you that despite it allegedly being table service, you have to go up to the counter to pay your bill. Not proper table service in my opinion. Staff were a bit rude, won't be back!

User

Been a regular customer for years but today place wasn't busy staff seen that we were waiting for table even although there was only 5 tables with people at them all eating to be left standing then ordered food to be then left for over 30 min to then be told there was no white baguettes so would brown be ok then when meal was brought to us EVENTUALLY there was a hair in my dinner told one of the staff , they asked if I wanted another one I say yes then 2 min later they brought out a white baguette that they had told me they didn't have was really disappointed usually have desert also but had had enough after not even getting an apology and having been billed full price !
