About Cramond Kirk

Cramond Kirk is a Church of Scotland parish church located in north west Edinburgh.

Cramond Kirk Description

The parish of Cramond lies to the north west of Edinburgh where the River Almond joins the Firth of Forth.
Archaeological excavations have uncovered evidence of not only the Roman fort but also of habitation dating to around the Mesolithic period around 8500BC, making it the earliest known site of human settlement in Scotland. Over the last two centuries, the parish has developed slowly as a suburb of Edinburgh.
