We were visiting the area and hadn't booked a table but they managed to get us in. My husband had the pan fried ribeye steak and I had the langoustines and we both loved our meals. The staff were very attentive but not to the point of being annoying. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely visit.

User

We love this little place, it’s amazing in every way, so cozy, food is amazing and staff just go that extra mile. I could just sit all night and look out over the sea!

See you again next year, Claire and Fletcher.

User

We hadn't booked so couldn't get a window seat. Menu was difficult to choose from as too many delicious sounding dishes. I ended up doing 2 starters...Fish cakes which were light, crispy and had a lovely salad with them. Then I had a starter portion of the mussels. Again generous and very fresh and tasty. The Loch Ness Cider was gorgeous too ÔøΩ

User

The sea food is just so good again. Fresh mussels, oysters and the the haddock all very good. Wife had the mackerel salad and loved that. We were just to late for the cruise though.üòÄ

User

Outstanding service and food! Will certainly be returning when back in the area! ÔøΩ

User

Lovely fresh Langoustines for lunch, as the catch of the day, great and very helpful staff and service, can't wait to go back and try more local fresh caught fish and see what delights the chef and his team come up with ÔøΩ

User

Loved this place, was doing Ben Nevis early Saturday morning and dined here on my own on the evening before. Slightly risky having oysters the night before a long hike but just couldn’t resist! They were delicious along with a hearty bowl of Cullen skink to follow finished with a wee dram of the local whisky which again was excellent! If I return to fort William I’ll certainly be going here! Service was great too, warm and welcoming which is great for a solo traveller!

User

Love this restaurant. Romantic eve, groups, families - all catered for with attenrive and friendly staff plus some really superb food. Prices are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of good on offer. Totally recommended!

User

Had a fantastic trip on Souters Lass yesterday. The weather was perfect and we saw lots of different seabirds, lots of seals and porpoises jumping out of the water. Fantastic interesting and informative commentary by the captain as always.

I live locally and enjoy coming out on the Loch on Souters Lass every year.

Great way to learn a bit about the area and see some local wildlife.

Highly recommend a trip!

User

Great cruise very informative and respectful of wildlife. Good bar man with a knowledge of local whiskey tastings.

The restaurant food was amazing! Lovely wine, all 3 courses tasted so nice. Fresh fish and great tasting brownie.

Had people behind us complaining, don't see what about. Funny how they loved their free wine though and stayed to finish the whole bottle. Always one trying to get a free meal, plus one had a steak now I know that it's fresh steak but who the hell goes to a specialised sea food restaurant to eat meat?!

The chef(s) did a great job and I'd love to come back and try more :)

User

First class menu & food served by very able and curteous staff. Quality of meal was excellent and price was reasonable for 2 course meal with a bottle of wine. Dined there on a Thursday evening and due to the high standard of food it was of no surprise that it was busy. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would be delighted to go again next time I am in the area

User

Faultless in every respect. From the attentive but unobtrusive staff to the quality of the ingredients, this was my best dining experience in quite some time. Indeed, my seared halibut fillet was possibly the most delicious piece of fish I’ve ever tasted, and satisfyingly complimented by a wonderful smoked haddock risotto. Top marks from me, and I won’t be leaving it 5 years before visiting again.

User

Did the 90min Loch tour on Souters Lass and loved every moment. Stunning views, very informative guide, highly recommend. Even had time for a cup of tea and Victoria sponge on board.

User

Delicious food - I tried the smoked macrel salad and the crannog fishcakes, and they both were fantastic.

The staff is as friendly as they come - I highly recommend it here!

User

Badenoch Waulking Group had the most amazing meal here on 19th Oct --everything cooked to perfection with sensible portions and the service was second to none--the place was very busy--Thank you Crannog --we'll be backÔøΩ

User

Absolutely fantastic meal!!

They don’t have a kids menu but went out of there way accommodate my son staff were so friendly and helpful

We will be back at our next visit to fort William

User

Absolutely amazing food and service. We were in Fort Wiliam for the weekend and it was our wedding anniversary and my 40th birthday so fancied something a little bit special. This definitely did not disappoint. We both had the mussels to start, with my husband having the Scallop, Pork Belly & Black Pudding off the specials board and I had the pancetta wrapped monkfish. The most delicious meal we have had for some time. The superb food was made even more enjoyable by the outstanding views over the loch and the lovely friendly staff. Will be back in July and will definitely make a point of eating here again.

User

It's been a wet week, but I can recommend the Crannog cruise and lunch as a good way to beat the weather for a few hours. The boat cruise was very interesting and the boat well equipped with drinks, cake and snacks etc...we learned quite a bit about Loch Linnhe and the surrounding area from the captain. The restaurant lunch choice was very limited and had nothing really for our 12 year old, but what we (the adults) had was very tasty and just right. I would recommend the package. The full restaurant menu looked great and we might give it a go if ever here without children.

User

Some great, some not. Had a mackerel pate as an appetizer and although it certainly wasn’t pate, it was more like mackerel salad, it was really delicious. Main course I had halibut, this was the disappointing one. No seasoning to speak of and I had expected if skin is on it should be crispy. Tried my brothers pork belly and scallops and again, under seasoned. We finished with a cheese plate which was lovely too. The waiter, though, was simply fantastic.
