Cream O' Galloway Visitor Centre Description

Cream o' Galloway has something for everyone.

There’s action and adventure with our adrenaline pumping slides, pedal karts, our unique woodland adventure playground and indoor play areas. Go Boing is like an enormous trampoline, raised up above the ground.
Try your hand at Crazy Golf. . . on a slope!

Explore the nature trails, do some wildlife spotting in our hide or take part in one of our special wildlife events. There’s a designated dog walk where your canine friends can run free and walkers with dogs under control are welcome on the green or purple waymarked nature trails.

There are events taking place every day we're open at Cream o’ Galloway and lots of special events that run at particular times of the year, such as Meet the Lambs in Spring or Ready Steady Freeze in Summer where you get to make your own ice cream from scratch. Our most popular events are the Farm Tour and the Ice Cream Experience which are available each day we are open. Please get in touch to reserve places for your chosen events.

Our sister brand, The Ethical Dairy, is running a series of in-depth talks on Saturday afternoons during July and August exploring sustainable food production.
If you are interested in the politics and ethics of food and farming then these events are a great opportunity to learn why we farm ecologically and to ask questions about our ethical dairy model.
Please note, these talks are not recommended for children.

PLEASE share - Angus, a black and white pointer dog, is missing from Creetown area following a tragic fatal accident on Saturday. Initially feared dead, Angus has spent two days in the area of Creetown but has moved east and has been spotted on the farm at Cream o' Galloway. He could keep moving east - towards Borgue, Sandgreen, Kirkcudbright. He could even head inland towards Gatehouse. Please everyone do your best and share this with anyone in these areas - or indeed to an...yone using the A75. This boy has been through an horrific accident, is totally disorientated and completely spooked. PLEASE DO NOT try and chase him but if you sight him immediately call his owner on 07775 928061 (if you can't get him call me on 07841340752). He is VERY unlikely to come to you, although he will be tiring. We just need to know where he is so we can get ahead of him.

Really nice visit last Friday. We have visited several times and have never been disappointed. All staff all so pleasant, from the very patient ice-cream server, the even more patient person on the go-karts, and a really nice lady very accomodating heating baby food up. Nice that Bev asked us if we were enjoying ourselves as we played. We brought a picnic so didn't eat other than the home-baking which was delicious. Really appreciated the jugs of water and cups to help yourself to and ability to fill own water bottles. 5* from us again.

User

Our little boy loved the bouncing nets and exploring. Even better it was all free which was un expected. Treat ourselves to some of their lovely ice cream.

User

Not only was it a great day with amazing ice cream... but I lost my pandora bracelet.. And the staff were so amazing even though I must have been really annoying doing that! haha. They found my bracelet and have even found a charm that fell off it! Couldn't be more greatful. Will be back.

User

It was a great experience - my grandson and his friend had a terrific time - so much for them to do - tired out - the ice cream tasting was fabulous - the staff were lovely and helpful - if you haven't been get along this summer

User

If you're visiting this part of the country it's well worth taking a detour off the main road for this fabulous ice-cream!

Ice- cream - .Best tasting ice cream.

Delicious. Play area park with many activities. A great day out. Highly recommend it !!

User

The boys had lots of fun here and the dog walks were nice, the weather was dry which helped. The ice cream was very nice.

User

Outside play is fab kids loved it age 6 and 2. Was disappointed in ice cream tasting as we thought it was a tour. I think my kids were to young for it as it just a talk and tiny scoops of ice cream. Lovely staff. Good day out.

User

Braved the cold and visited today kids loved it there a bit older and still found plenty to do lots of nice helpful staff also

User

Absolutely amazing!! Visited with the children whilst on holiday in scotland. Only thing that would stop me returning is the fact i paid £18.50 for my son and £5 for my daughter. He didnt use the 3 options which were available for extra as i felt he was too small. I think an option to pay £5 for over 7s shouod be available if they dont want to use the other items! Other than that amazing and tge ice cream is to die for

User

We came at the weekend, daughter 3 loved it and had a great time however we were really disappointed in the food in the cafe, very poor choice but more importantly didn't taste great, we left it, didn't make big deal as play was free. Would gruge paying full prices though, if I did come again would definitely opt for bringing my own picnic.

User

Visited yesterday. Our 3 year old loved it! The indoor play area was great and we all enjoyed the ice cream tasting. However, I do wonder if you could consider making the ice cream tasting a little more interactive? What about some visual aids? It's a long time to expect younger children to follow and understand the script. Cafe was mixed. Baked potatoes were nice enough & side salads actually really tasty but the hot dogs, oh my goodness, nothing short of awful!!!

User

This place is good fun ! I've been here 3 times i'm not an organic fan and the cafe food that i would eat has never impressed me so i take a picnic but i'm there for the play area anyway my little girl loves the go boing and all the other stuff but this year i paid to go play aswell and we booked the ice cream tour and the farm tour but your play pass that gets you unlimited access to the pedal karts is no use as there that bizzy u have to book them so i only got one shot in before my kids going on the tasting tour with there mum and me doing the farm tour at 2.30 which i had hannah as our tour guide and she was really good especially with the children on the tour !

And back to the karts i couldn't believe they put every kart out at the same time the whole track is impressive never seen one on so many levels but its full of bottle necks and bits that some struggled so to let every one off at the same time was just traffic jam after traffic jam on the only shot i got i think they would be better numbered and timed called in after time is up so there sent out different times not as many traffic jams

User

The centre and facilities were great and kids had a ball inside and out but unfortunately the food was a disgrace. It is a simple and basic menu which would be great if actually cooked properly and not tasteless.

Invest in training certain staff to have catering qualifications and work better as a service team. It’s a massive issue that really really needs addressed according to all your reviews.

User

Ok for kids play n ice cream however meal from cafe was disgustin, cold and expensive.picnic if i'm ever back.

User

Ice Cream beautiful. Crazy Golf course covered in weeds and stones. Cafe too expensive eg; £4.90 for a bowl of soup and £5.70 for a basic hot dog, plus i was overcharged for coffee and had to ask for money back. Overgrown in places. Needs a good tidy! Otherwise its ok!

User

We have been coming for years , and mainly for the ice cream and burgers , we arrived this year to find they didn’t do burgers anymore , it was beef hotdogs , the hot dog was disgusting, I had to spit my first bite out into a tissue, what the hell has happened to this place? The burgers where great when they used to do them , it looks like a cost cutting exercise to me as there’s less beef in the sausage than a burger for pretty much the same money .

The ice cream is still good though

User

Activities were good but food was far too over priced. 4.90 for a bowl of soup when it said 1.90 on the board. Organic juice wasnt nice. Free for under 3s which was good but 13.50 each for partner and I and we didnt get much for it. No adventure play. and extra 6 pound for crazy golf which was always hogged so we didnt get a shot and didnt get given money back for it.
