POETRY SLAM: GIVE IT A GO! FREE ENTRY - THIS THURSDAY :) An MC: the talented Shaun Moore - written & spoken - 3 JUDGES: fabulous ones - Donal McLaughlin (writer & translator), Finola: Finola Scott Poems - wearing her Scottish Federation Of Writers hat - and local rapper, Johnny Cypher, who'll score the POETS over two rounds.
... In those rounds, each poet has two minutes at the mic. The top three scorers do a final round of 3 minutes each, to find the WINNER.
There are breaks between rounds, bit of music, bit of craic, licenced bar - all in VENUE: CC's - Callum's Cavern - Live Venue

Funding for Creative Youth Projects Celebrating UK Native Plants and Fungi
Applications can now be submitted by young people aged 14 to 25 years for grants of £500 to run a wide range of creative projects that celebrate UK native plants and fungi in exciting and engaging ways.

Great night wee night with a good turn out for our first Gathering Voices event at the Houston Inn (nice venue for a event btw). It was an inspiring mix of Music, Spoken Word, Visual Arts & networking. Thanks to everyone who came along & contributed.
