We enable people and organisations to work in and experience the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland by helping others to develop great ideas and bring them to life.

We distribute funding from the Scottish Government and The National Lottery.

Some great #AwardsforAll news this morning: A total of 67 groups are sharing in £448,567 from The National Lottery Awards for All Scotland, which makes grants from £300 to £10,000 to voluntary and community groups across the country.
Read more about some of the creative projects that have been awarded funding, including Bookends Festival Benderloch; a photography project with conFAB and Migrant Voice; and Healthpitch, which delivers high quality opera performances to elderly people in care settings.

As part of Edinburgh Art Festival, City Art Centre have an exciting new exhibition - Travelling Gallery at 40.
Over the last four decades, this bus-turned-contemporary art gallery has marked itself out as a place to see exciting, experimental and excellent visual art practices. And what's more, those practices are being driven right to the heart of local communities (both literally and figuratively).

We are so proud to see 7 Scottish organisations partnering up with European projects, supported by €1.4 million Creative Europe funding.
Creative Carbon Scotland, Imaginate (Edinburgh International Children's Festival), North Lands Creative and Scottish Ensemble will take the lead in their projects, with Fablevision Studios, Leith Theatre and The National Youth Orchestras of Scotland - NYOS also collaborating in projects that range across artforms and across Europe.
These #Co...operationProjects send a clear message that Scotland’s creative and cultural sector is determined to strengthen and increase connections with our European partners, and that other countries value the quality and excellence of Scottish work.

Tackling important topics such as LGBT history, gender, feminism, loneliness, mental health, migration and national identity, over 40 projects have received support through our latest round of Open Project Funding.
Nearly £1m from The National Lottery was awarded last month to artists, musicians, writers, theatre makers, festivals and organisations working across Scotland.

Delighted to announce the next round of Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards, working with local partners across Scotland to offer grants of £500 - £1,500 for creative and professional development.
The first deadline is 2 October with info sessions in each of the 21 participating areas, including Aberdeen City Council Aberdeenshire Council Dumfries and Galloway Council Dundee City Council East Lothian The City of Edinburgh Council Fife Council Glasgow City Council The Highlan...d Council Moray Council Na h-Eileanan Siar Orkney Islands Scottish Borders Council Shetland Islands East Ayrshire Council South Ayrshire North Ayrshire Council Perth & Kinross Council Stirling Council Clackmannanshire Council and Falkirk Council.
The awards are made possible with support from The National Lottery and through the resources of the local partners. We're also exploring opportunities to extend the reach of the scheme in the future.

🎉 Community groups across Scotland are today celebrating a £794k cash boost, thanks to the generosity of The National Lottery players 🎉
A total of 115 groups, from Lerwick to Dumfries, are sharing in £794,384 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland, which makes grants from £300 to £10,000 to voluntary and community groups across the country.

Calling all literary types: the The Saltire Society Literary Awards are open for submissions! These awards celebrate the very best in Scottish Literary works and publishing.
Recognising work across six literary categories including Non-Fiction, Fiction, First Book, Research Book, History Book and Poetry Book, plus two Publishing Categories, each winner receives a cash prize of £2,000 and a shot at the top prize of £6,000, awarded to the Saltire Society Book of the Year.

Congrats to the 32 young Scots awarded £5,550 to pursue their creative ambitions through the Time to Shine Nurturing Talent Fund.
The Nurturing Talent Fund is administered by young people for young people by the National Youth Arts Advisory Group for Scotland (NYAAG).
As part of Year of Young People 2018, Creative Scotland and Young Scot have changed the criteria for the fund to allow even more young people to apply.

You may have heard the fantastic news that Glasgow Women's Library has been shortlisted for the Art Fund's Museum of the Year Prize. The winner is announced tomorrow (Thursday 5 July), and will receive £100,000 to continue their good work.

Grab your popcorn! Our new £600k film festivals fund will increase access to film in communities across Scotland 📽️🍿🍦
Open now to new and existing film festivals, the fund will help to promote cinema-going in Scotland and raise the profile of film, especially independent and specialised film.
The fund is the latest in a series of new funds developed with increased investment in Scotland’s new Screen Unit from The Scottish Government.

UNCON 2.0 is a free, all-day event celebrating Scotland’s young artists. Featuring live music, theatre, dance, film, literature, poetry, visual art, workshops, talks and performances, UNCON 2.0 will include activity with and for children and young people aged 0-25.
It’s been hosted by the National Youth Arts Advisory Group and is taking place at Perth Theatre on Saturday 22 September. Find out more and book tickets here:
