Jeanette, from our Drovers Restaurant, recently made her very own paperweight along with her daughter, Aimee, at the Caithness Glass factory. Aimee was kind enough to share some photos of her experience along with their finished paperweights. The experience costs £49.00 per paperweight and takes 20 minutes to complete. If you would like to book a time slot, or request more information about the Make Your Own Paperweight activity, phone us on 01764 654 014 or email us: glass@crieff.co.uk

There’s fun to be had for artists of any age at Caithness Glass.
You can paint a glass for as little as £6.00 and leave the same day with your masterpiece.
Here is one such beautiful piece of art created by Mia- Great Job!

New to our shelves is Shrieking Violet Jewellery: hand-crafted Sterling Silver jewellery with beautiful little flowers encapsulated in resin. Each flower is lovingly grown and carefully picked, preserved and arranged into these special pieces.

User

PLEASE NOTE: From Monday 2nd July until further notice the Caithness Glass Factory will open at 9.00am and close at 2.30pm. We have made this decision to ensure the health and well being of the glass makers during this period of extreme temperatures. We apologise for the inconvenience.

This weekend, to celebrate World Gin Day, we’re holding a tasting of the wonderful Gin Bothy. Once the ruin of mothers and a staple of Victorian work houses, a resurgence in Gin has seen it become the *must have* drink this summer. Why not pop in for a try?

User

We’ve just added a new range from the Wheat Bag Company. These nifty little bags are filled with cleaned British wheat and can be heated up in the microwave to soothe aches and pains or chilled to treat headaches and injuries. All designs come either unscented or with Lavender and cost £12.50 each.

User

Everyone at the the Crieff Visitor Centre wishes to congratulate Harry and Meghan on their big day tomorrow and hope they have a wonderful time!

Eating locally produced honey is considered one of the best ways of lessening the effects of Hay Fever. With this in mind we’ve stocked up our shelves with a variety of Scottish honey from Chainbridge Farm and Heather Hills Farm. We even have runny honey sourced from Crieff itself at £6.00 a jar. Stop your sniffles with a tasty treat!

Tuesdays have never been tastier (or more affordable) in the Drovers Restaurant than with the Senior Citizens Lunch Special. Every Tuesday, for £6.99 per person, you can choose the Starter/Main option or the Main/Dessert option and receive a complimentary cup of Tea or Filter Coffee. De-lish!

User

WE HAVE JUST STOCKED UP ON THE BEAUTIFUL BOTANIC ISLES JEWELLERY. EACH BOTANIC ELEMENT IS HAND PICKED FROM SUSTAINABLE SOURCES ACROSS SCOTLAND AND IMMORTALISED IN CRYSTAL CLEAR RESIN. WITH LAVANDER PICKED IN AYRSHIRE, SHELLS COLLECTED IN BROUGHTY FERRY AND DANDELION SEEDS GATHERED IN CRIEFF, YOU CAN OWN A LITTLE SNAPSHOT OF SCOTLANDS COUNTRYSIDE FROM AS LITTLE AS £22.50.

User

Its fair to say that all of us at the Crieff Visitor Centre have a sweet tooth so its just as well we have plenty of Scottish sweets and cakes on hand to buy. We are loving Gordon & Durwards new Gin and Tonic and Irish Cream boiled sweets along with everyones favourite tablet. Gardiners have plenty to offer including their scrumptious chocolate fudge and Edinburgh Rock. If you like a biscuit with your tea try out Reids of Thurso Oat Crumbles or Duncans of Deeside crumbly shortbread. There is certainly something for everyone including gluten and sugar free.

User

With the Caithness Glass factory closed for maintenance this past week, we’ve had to content ourselves with staring at the newly released paperweights. Monday can’t come soon enough! http://www.caithnessglass.co.uk/new-sprin g-2018.html

User

We wish all of our customers a very happy and peaceful Easter. There’s just a few days left to get your Easter eggs and with ours now half price they’re going fast. Quick, before the Easter Bunny gets them!

User

As we officially enter Spring this week we must remain vigilant to the threat in our countryside. We must keep a wary eye on our gardens and cast cautious glances at our road sides. The Golden Menace is upon us, and this time they mean business…

User

WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THE OPENING OF OUR TRYST TEA ROOM IN THE GIFT SHOP. SERVING TEAS, COFFEES, CAKE AND TRAYBAKES IN A RELAXED SETTING OUR WEE TEA ROOM LOOKS OUT ONTO A GARDEN AREA WHERE YOU CAN WATCH THE BIRDS FEEDING. AFTERNOON TEA IS SERVED EACH DAY FOR WHICH WE WOULD RECOMMEND BOOKING. WE LOOK FORWARD TO GREETING YOU SOON.

I have been here many times, however, this is the first time for many years. It didn’t disappoint. The glass factory was a bit run down. The garden centre was fab.

We had a lovely cup of tea and scone. The service and staff were professional and friendly.

User

Been several times when in Crieff. Visited again with Mum. We had a lovely lunch and staff were very nice. Will definitely be back.

User

Wife and I dropped in for a snack. Cafe staff were pleasant but run off their feet. Seemed to be coping well enough. Food ok. Pleasant, clean and warm. Paid more for a lot less at some other centres. Just casual visitors but will be back.

User

The centre was very typical of theses kind of coffee places. The restaurant has really good food. The garden centre was very poor and there is a much better garden centre just up the road on the way to Muthil.

User

Stopped for coffee and drinks for 2 adults and 5 children. The Visitor Centre is open and spacious and has a good selection of both drinks and food available. Ideal for any size of party.

User

Popped in to the cafe before heading to crieff hydro ...Had a lovely lunch soup was very tasty and was impressed at them having gluten free bread and cake found the staff friendly no complaints would visit again .

User

User

I was there with my dog named coco and she was in shop being given treats and made a fuss of but wasn't visitor centre

User

Good food. Clean and good service. Had walk around visitors centre and garden centre too.

Good afternoon out.

User

First time visiting Crieff and the Centre, throughly enjoyed the experience. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant and we were delighted to watch the glass blowing in progress.

User

A decent enough place to stop for refreshments. Presentation around outside could be better although it's tidy. The exhibit hall is a bonus. It's a pity that the young staff member that served our pud didn't have the sense to clear away the main course. A little training in this area wouldn't go amiss. The staff were very accommodating otherwise

User

This place is tired tired tired. Drab. Food is uninspired to poor. Prices too high. Service is rubbish. Relies on coach tours and needs a bloody big kick up the backdide
