This very brave first time mum came in yesterday for a little helping hand getting things moving. A few hours later, 6 very healthy puppies and a very proud if slightly tired mummy. 🥰

Pet carriers looking for homes! 🐰🐱
We have a number of pet carriers that have been kindly donated to us by clients. If anyone would like one we just ask for a small donation to one of our charity boxes. Please pop in or give us a call if you would like one.

❄️ Did You Know...!? 🥶
With the weather slowly but surely improving those peaky fleas will be awakening from their winter slumbers and finding hosts to feed on! Don't let you cat or dog be one of them!

Friday Motivation! 🥰
How with the right care and attention, an ugly duckling (pigeon) can blossom in to a beautiful bird. What a difference 7 months makes! We do our best to help all wildlife brought it to us and safely return them to their natural habitat. This chap has chosen not to leave nurse Lauren who hand reared him after someone kindly brought him in to us last summer.

🌱🌼 Is it too soon to say it feels like spring is in the air....!? The days are slowly drawing out and its definitely feeling warmer, there are so many things to look forward to in spring. ☀️ However, fleas are not one of them!
We are already seeing an increase in those of you needing treatment to fend off these pesky friends our pets like to bring in and once they've moved in, they can be really hard to convinice to leave! Call us or pop in to pick up 12 weeks worth of protection in one treatment!

Battersea Dogs Home is urging people to do more research and always consider re-homing, before purchasing a puppy, after sad 2018 statistics.

❄️ Dogs love to play in the snow...well, most of them! But to keep us all safe, roads and paths will be covered in grit in many areas today. Please remember this can cause serious irritation to your dogs paws. So once you've finished frolicking in the snow give your dogs paws a good clean, before drying off inside. Enjoy! ❄️

🥶❄️Have you seen the weather forecast for the week ahead!? ❄️🥶 After what has been a rather warm and dry winter so far, the snow and frost has arrived. Antifreeze poisoning can affect both dogs and cats and can be fatal! Be very careful when using anitfreeze, make sure it doesn't run in to any water source your pet may drink from and make sure your dog isnt drinking from puddles on roads etc. when out on a walk. Have a look at our pet info library link below for more information.

👵 SENIOR HEALTH CHECKS 🧓
Did you know, our nurses offer FREE Senior Health Checks for dogs over the age of 8 and cats over the age of 10. The nurses will give your pet a health check and give advice on things that may need extra attention / looking out for during their senior years. If, you are able to bring a urine sample to the appointment, even better, as testing this can tell us a lot about your pets health!
Please give us a call on 01280 703451 to book your pet in.

Some of you may have seen the posts from other local vets, confirming there have been some cases of Canine Parvovirus in the area. The below will give you information on what the disease is and what symptoms to look out for. As always, if you are concerned about your dog please give us a call, we are always happy to hear from you even if it turns out not to be anything to worry about! https://www.lifelearn-cliented.com/iframe .php…

🇪🇺 After last nights vote on the Brexit deal the chance of a 'No Deal' exit from the EU seems even more likely today. 🇪🇺
If you are planning international travel with your pets this year please get in contact ASAP, to ensure you pet is eligible for travel. IF your pet is not currently vaccinated against rabies it is likely to be a MINIMUM of 4 months before they can travel.

Happy New Year! 🎉
What's your new years resolution? Have you thought about trying something a bit different with your canine companion? Dogs of all shapes and sizes love a new challenge and stimulation and there are loads of places locally to try something new, such as scent work or agility. Why not make it something to try in 2019!? 🐶
Pictured is Finn (Patterdale Terrier) showing size and shape doesn't matter for agility. 💪

We’ve been using crofts since moving to Brackley 22 years ago. Luckily not to frequently! But the service we’ve had over the years has been excellent including this last week when we had to have our cat put to sleep. Many thanks to Paul.

I had to take one of our much loved bunnies this week and unfortunately she had to be put to sleep. Today I received a beautiful card from the vet who helped her. Really appreciate the personal care given and the empathy shown at the time as I was a wreck! Thank you

User

I can't thank Mr Jennings and team enough. My 18 year old cat,Hattie, had stopped eating and could not put weight on her back leg. After having an X-Ray it appears she has chronic arthritis. We now have a pain management programme and she is eating & walking much better The phone support and checking how she is doing has been greatly appreciated. Thank you.

User

So kind and supportive over the last couple weeks as my pooch had his eye removed! Was so helpful even middle of the night! Thanks Alan and Caroline xx

Change rating after taking away all out of hours! This is awful and not safe for our pets!! Fuming is a understatement!

User

Disgusting. As if losing your beloved pet who has been such a special part of your life is not bad enough, during this difficult time to then be demanding money before they give him back so he can have the send off the family wants to give him is a disgrace. Total lack of compassion and understanding.
