Cross Keys Hotel

I visited on a quiet Monday night and there where only three groups in the pub. But for the first time in my 50 years I was refused a drink for been too drunk. I had a meal and 2 pints and the young bartender decided that was enough. Strangely he also decided the other two groups who where in the pub had had too much also. He obviously just wanted to close up and go home. It was a shame as I was here for the week and would have eaten in there every night but the Crown on high street has now got my business.

Nice pub and restaurant, always clean and staff helpful. Great value for money.

The restaurant had a sirloin and rump steak offer. It was cheap and good. Fish and chips was great too. The batter was nice, crispy and not olive soaked soggy. Recommend to any one wanting a simple cost dinner.
