Wee Penny, looks beautiful in our CVR recovery shirt after her laparoscopic spay! This is an excellent alternative to the cone of shame 😂 More comfortable and easier for the dog to move around. Just ask when you drop off or collect your dog.

Please have a read. Alistair is taking part in this insane, year long triathlon to raise money for a charity close to his heart. We are all super proud of him, any donations are hugely appreciated!

Meet Reuben, he was in for arthroscopy yesterday. He has Elbow dysplasia so arthroscopy helps removes the broken bones that cause pain. We wish you well Reuben and you will be back to work as a therapy pet in a few weeks. #crownvetsreferrals

Thank you for all your support over the last year!

Finlay was first referred to us for a CT scan back in June this year which confirmed bilateral coronoid disease meaning elbow dysplasia. Treatment for this is called arthroscopy, which means placing a camera into the joint via a keyhole procedure and smoothing off the irregular structures to relieve the problem. Due to ongoing lameness in his right foreleg, Finlay was re-admitted for another CT followed by a second arthroscopy. This is extremely rare however Finlay is doing well again. He stole many hearts with those eyes within Crown Vets.

Do you know if your pet is ideal weight or overweight??
Having an ideal weight helps reduce joint issues and increase the chances of a successful recovery.
1/3 pets are overweight! ... The sad fact is we see so many OBESE pets that when we see a ideal weight often the owners are told that they are skinny!
Using a light touch you should be able to feel the ribs, see the waist and see an abdomen tuck.
Come in to see one of our nurses and let us help you achieve an ideal weight with small maintainable changes.

Wee Sally was a bilateral TTA which means both her legs were operated on at the same time. This is rare however in her best interest. With an ideal body condition score recovery should be straight forward with reduced strain on her joints. Get well soon Sally. We enjoyed meeting your cuddly toys to help you feel at home when with us. 💙

Daisy was a little wriggle bum and extremely difficult to photograph as she just wanted tummie rubs. She was extremely friendly and we wish her all the best after her TTA prodcedure. 💙
