We stumbled upon Cuckoo's Bakery and decided to pop in for lunch. The portions are so generous, the food is delicious, and the cappuccinos are huge. � Value for money and lovely service means we'll definitely be back! Thank you! �

We ordered 3 celebration cakes for our wedding reception as an alternative to a traditional tiered wedding cake. It was one of the best decisions we made. We ordered to the sticky toffee pudding, chocolate truffle and strawberries and cream cakes. Everyone at our reception loved them and we’ve been enjoying the leftovers!! Highly recommended

We live in Hampshire but when we visit Edinburgh we always make a point of visiting Cuckoo's, the staff are always extremely polite and very friendly but above that the cakes and sweet treats are amazing! On our last visit we tried a few but my favourite is the black bottom cheesecake ! Only wish we lived closer so we could try some different varieties!! Already looking forward to our next visit hoping to time it when you have the big dippers!!!!

Never been a cake lover but having been to Cuckoo's Bakery that changed. Love popping in here for lunch finished off with a cupcake or their other yummy treats. If your looking to have lunch I 100% recommend their Sweet potato and Butternut squash soup along with a cheese scone or their Sweet Chilli Chicken Ciabatta melt. The staff couldn't be any more friendly towards their customers!

Loved buying the chocolate bottom, carrot cake and raspberry and white chocolate cup cakes for our family ... and couldn't resist this dog friendly cup cake which was devoured by our faithful pup!! All healthy ingredients for dogs! So delicious and always happy, helpful staff. �

I’ve been here many times and have always enjoyed the cupcakes, lunches, and kind waitstaff. My recent lunch with a friend was made even better by the person who served us, Erin, because she was so gracious and didn’t even mind that we lingered at our table for ages.

It was well worth the walk in the rain, the cupcakes were delicious and they have THE best frosting I've ever tasted! I can highly recommend the white chocolate & raspberry, peanut caramel and the lemon drizzle cupcakes �

I ordered cupcakes online to be delivered to my friend for her birthday who is studying in Edinburgh and I couldn't be happier with my experience! First of all the cupcakes were delivered without any complications and right on time, my friend sent me a picture when they were delivered and they looked absolutely beautiful! Along with this I had forgotten to include a card with my original order so I emailed the shop asking if there was any way to go back and add this in and got a quick reply back saying that they would be happy to add a card to my order and even waived the 1 pound fee for me since my order had already been placed. Awesome customer service really goes a long way, couldn't be happier with my experience ordering with Cuckoos!! :)

Of course the cupcakes are beautiful and delicious, especially the mystery cupcakes! All in all I couldn't recommend them more!!

I 100% recommend Cuckoo's Bakery to those who love a sweet treat from cupcakes, brownies, cookies, a filling breakfast, a healthy but amazing lunch, tea lovers have a wide variety of excellent choices, their hot chocolate is amazing and my absolute favourite has to be their coconut milkshake. Staff are always on excellent form and I've never had a negative experience, always positive. Staff are always so friendly, patient and always make me feel welcomed that i just can't wait any longer to go back. Ps; have the rainbow cupcake if they ever sell them when you're there. My all time favourite cupcake then the red velvet. I now want cake 😻😹

Been here numerous times and can say the coffee and cake is always good. Popped in a few times for take out cake as a treat if working down that end of town

Beautiful bespoke cupcakes for a Hawaiian themed party at work. Hit my brief perfectly, were beautifully decorated and tasted delicious! Great job �

Took some time to make up my mind and ended up having a sticky toffee cupcake and a coffee. Cake didn't really have a great texture and the icing appeared quite dry. At £3.25 a cupcake a little overpriced for the quality as I expected a better cake. Won't rush back although the staff are lovely and very helpful.

Lovely little cafe, friendly staff and delicious cupcakes ( I had the French Martini Mmmm)

Service could be been a little quicker especially for drinks.

Will definitely go back though for more cupcakes 🤗

Truly awful & extremely disappointing customer service in Bruntsfield today. Took my 4 year old twins for cake as a treat after their flu vaccinations, 1 person ahead of us in queue at counter so joined queue. Quite a few minutes passed and by the time we were at the front there were 2 people behind us. Waitress asked if we were sitting in, I said yes & she told me to take a seat and she would come & take our order at the table, as I knew we were only ordering 3 cakes & has already decided during the time we were waiting I asked if I couldn't just order there & then, she haughtily agreed, took our order & sent us to the table to wait...while she served the next person in line! Surely it would have been easier just to give us our order to take to our table then?! She eventually brought the cake to the table and said something about "enjoy your cake" frankly with the tone and expression of "I hope it chokes you", creating an awful atmosphere. She then made a deliberate fuss of a kid at another table - yes, we noticed. When I went up to pay she continued with the rude attitude towards me and not once said please or thank you to me, so I asked if I had done something to upset her...to which her response transpired to be that it was all because I'd asked to place my order at the counter! Ridiculous! Would it kill your staff to be friendly and helpful? Especially to those with young kids! Or to at least have a notice up saying that it's table service & to please take a seat. Or even acknowledge customers when they come through the door & ask them to take a seat at that point rather than leaving them to queue.
