Cumbernauld Community Memorial Peace Garden is a project led by Cumbernauld Environmental Society, working to convert an area of vacant land next to Greenfaulds Bowling Club into a community garden, coinciding with the centenary of the First World War. Project partners include Cumbernauld Royal Air Force Air Cadets, Cumbernauld Army Cadet Force, Cumbernauld Rotary Club, Cumbernauld Royal British Legion, and North Lanarkshire Council. Sponsors include Sanctuary Cumbernauld, NHS Lanarkshire, Co-op Funeralcare, Cumbernauld Action for Care of the Elderly, and North Lanarkshire Council's Local Development Programme.
