The couple of new guys stocking the 'gaming' hardware/peripheral section of the store were really helpful. John who quickly picked out a laptop perfect for my needs. We paid for the GTX 1070, and wanted to order the laptop too (this, all in lieu of a £999 insurance voucher.) However the laptop wasn't in stock in either colour but the salesman said it would be ordered for me and I'll be notified by Tuesday. I entered the store today (Wednesday) after numerous calls with staff at Braehead branch 'too busy' I then drove to the store myself. The store was empty with customers, so much so there was a group of staff near some google installation sitting around popping bubble wrap.
So cut a long story short, I asked the till attendant about my laptop order and if I could collect it. No record existed of the sale, and the last model of that laptop had apparently been sold only 10 mins ago.
So basically, I would've been waiting for a call for my laptop to be collected at the store forever and never had known, because the order was never placed in the first place. Also, there was stock in other stores nearby my home, why wasn't I offered the option of buying from there?
Usual, only had to deal with currys as that was what my insurer chose as the handler.

Had to wait for assistance the guy that finally did worked for Samsung didn't have the TV I wanted in stock had to go for a more expensive one didn't get offered any alternative manufacturers had to wait again for curry's staff wasn't offered any set up , collect old TV or maintenance options, then had to go to a different check out as the card reader didn't work. Only saving grace was the guy who took the TV to the car was helpful and the only member of staff that looked like we weren't putting him out. I expect to be treated better if I'm spending 600 quid

Bit of a mixed bag. The store itself is amazing with pretty much everything you could wish for, so it's unlikely you'll go there and be disappointed. The staff though, could be friendlier.

I've been there on numerous occasions where you're faced with one of two extremes: they're either in your face and trying to force the sale, or they're completely disinterested and unhelpful. I've only had one positive experience with the staff while shopping there.

Good technical after sales service. I bought a graphics card to replace a faulty one in my computer. The spec on the box stated it was PCIe which was exactly what I was looking for. Got it home and found the slot in my computer was larger than the one on the graphics card. Took it back to the shop and Hugh was a great help with the different options I had to solve the problem. Turns out small card does fit the large slot. Thanks Hugh.

Dawn attended to us very fast and she was very knowledgeable about the Epsom printers and even echo dot. Great staff and gave comparisons of the products in question.

Awful store. The people who work there are rude, unprofessional, pretentious.... just don't care. Save your cash and buy from a reputable company!

We received excellent, well-informed advice from Arnaldo, who patiently spent a lot of time with us, reviewing the various options for a fan/conventional oven and gas hob. He certainly knows his stuff! His advice was invaluable, and he 'went the extra mile' to assist us by telephone after our visit, when we phoned to discuss the actual measurements of the cavity in my kitchen. I cannot commend him highly enough. You should be proud to have Arnaldo on your team!

After having my tv suddenly stop working I contacted Knowhow to arrange collection for it to be repaired. It was collected as scheduled and I was told the tv would be returned the following week. next day I get a call to say my tv was unable to be repaired and that I had to drive 56 miles to go to the store to pick a new one.(why this couldn't be done over the telephone, I don't know). Anyway I picked a new tv and was told that as I had it installed previously then the new one would be installed at my hoe address, where they collected the old one from. The following week I got a call from work to say someone was dropping off a tv for me and I immediately contacted Knowhow to say the tv was getting delivered to the wrong address. The lady on the telephone was really nice and said it was scheduled for delivery at my home address so there was a mix up and that they had rescheduled it for the next day. 2 weeks later, 2 days off work and a lot of telephone calls and I'm still waiting on my tv. Do they care? Do they hell. I'm on my 3rd attempt to contact Currys Breahead today to see what they are going to do about it. Watch this space...
