‪Il Lombardia Bergamo – Como 241km.‬
‪The fifth and final Monument of the year the race of the falling leaves.‬
‪The first 170km is relatively easy, but where the last 75km are a lot harder. The race's iconic climb, Madonna di Ghisallo, is back at the end of the race.‬
... ‪The first 50km consists of a trip around the area south of the start. The peloton start climbing after 47.2km the Colle Gallo 7.43km, 6.0%, max 10%. After an easy start, the climb is gradually harder and a few kilometers at 7-8%. After the summit, back along flat terrain to the east before heading north to Colle Brianza 10.3km, 3.5% after 106.2km.‬
‪The peloton continue north to the shore of Lake Como before the peloton turn around onto a small loop back to the lake. From here the terrain is hilly until the town of Onno along the shore after 163.2km, after which the peloton continue north along the lake for another 8km before the parcours changes and the final section begins.‬
‪The climbing begins 69.6km to go when the peloton hits the bottom of the Madonna del Ghisallo 8.58km, 6.2%, max 14%. With an increase of more than 9%, the first 3km the toughest, with a slight downhill then 9.5% over the last 1.2km. As always, the church bell rings when the peloton arrives at the summit.‬
‪From the summit a short decent over 6km before the peloton reach Coma di Sormano. The first 5.1km it rise steadily with an average of 6.6%. However, the last 1.92km, called Muro di Sormano, an average of 15.8% with sections of 27% in the last kilometer. The summit with 47.4km to go. The peloton decent back towards the lake, with 34.3km to go.‬
‪The peloton now have a final chance to recover, following the lake over 16km until the peloton reach Como for the first time. From here the the peloton hit the bottom of Civiglio 4.2km, 9.7%, max 14% before heading back to the finish. It's regular that's steep all the way to the top with 13.6km to go.‬
‪From there a technical decent west and north west via a slight flat section before reaching 5.1km to go the Monte Olimpino 1.75km, 5.7%, max 9% rises by 6-7% over one kilometer midway, but never gets steep. The summit with 3.25km to go, after a slight decent with only one sharp turn and a hairpin but big and wide before it flattens out in the last kilometre and the last left turn with 800m to go before reaching the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 21 Alcorcón– Madrid 100.9km.‬
‪The traditional parade into Madrid which turns into a criterium that ends the race. The sprinters and their teams take centre stage. ‬
‪From the start, located on the south west outskirts, from here the peloton travel through the descending terrain to the south east to Getafe after 9.2km. From here along flat terrain to approach the capital before turning north to head directly into the center. ‬
... ‪After just 36km the peloton will cross the finish line for the first time. The final part of the parcours is made up of 12 laps of a 5.8km finishing circuit that is flat. The intermediate sprint will be located on the line after 42km at the end of the first lap. It's the same circuit that has been used in the past. It's A long out an back ring, and includes two U turns, but otherwise is held on wide and straight roads. The final turn comes at the flamme rouge and then it is a straight to the line on Plaza Cibeles.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 20 Andora. Escaldes-Engordany – Coll de la Gallina 97.3km.‬
‪The last day for the GC riders to take time.‬
‪From the start the peloton head the category 2 Coll de la Comella 4.3km, 8.7% after 5.6km. Then a short downhill to the north east before turning west onto the category 1 Coll de Beixalis 7.1km, 8%, max 13% after 19.7 km. Then west along a technical descent to the valley followed by the intermediate sprint located at La Massana after 30.5km. From ...there north to the bottom of the category 1 Coll de Ordino 9.8km, 7.1%, max. 8.5% after 42.3km. Followed by a technical descent, which leads to the north east and then south and south west. Then the peloton turn back west to climb the category 1 Coll de Beixalis 7.1km, 8%, max 13%. This time after 64.5km, followed by a technical descent leads west to the valley. ‬
‪This time the peloton head to the south, then turn to reach the category 3 Coll de la Comella 3.6km, 6.3%. This time from the opposite side. ‬
‪From the summit 16.1km to go followed by a descent to the south west and north back to Andorra la Vella. From here the peloton turn south to the last 7.5km which climbs by 8.1%. The summit category HC Coll de la Gallina 3.5km, 8.7% not all the way to the summit just the first 3.5km and is steep from the start. The peloton take in 18 hairpins in the final 4km at 9% up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 19 Lleida – Coll de la Rabassa 154.4km.‬
‪A rolling stage with false flats until a big finish in Andorra.‬
‪From the start the peloton head to the north east towards the Pyrenees. In Ponts after 59km the peloton turn north up a hill before a downhill to flat terrain leads north to the feed zone after 83.5km. ‬
... ‪From there to the north east via a slightly rising valley road without much change until 133.4km to the border with Andorra. From here north the road starts to rises considerably more over the last 20km. The intermediate sprint located at Sant Julià de Lòria with 17.7km to go, and just 700m later the category 1 Col de la Rabassa 17km, 6.6%. It starts off with 13% sections, the toughest ramps in the opening 10km before it flattens out in the second half. From there the climb is around 4%- 5% with a 7% section in the 2km. The peloton pass the flamme rouge and turn left on a hairpin with 500m to go and then the last turn with 300m to go uphill kick of 8% towards the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 18 Ejea De Los Caballeros – Lleida 186.1km.‬
‪A rolling stage with false flats a stage for the sprinters.‬
‪From the start to the south east for most of the stage. The peloton head east along rising terrain before a downhill leads to the south east. ‬
... ‪The peloton reach the feed zone after 95km and from there turn north to head up a small hill before heading south via a downhill to the intermediate sprint located at Monzón after 127km. Then it's a long, straight road that leads south east to the finish, but there is a small hill with 30km to go. After that, downhill towards the finish, after a turn with 2km to go, slightly downhill before the flamme rouge then the road rises slightly by 2.5% up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 17 Getxo – Balcón de Bizkaia 157km.‬
‪In the Basque country rolling roads with 3500m of elevation with only one category 1 climb.‬
‪From the start 9.7km of flat, before the category 3 Alto de la Arboleda 6.7km, 5% after 16.7km from there a decent leads to the north west down to the coast. The flat coastal road is then followed to the north east to the intermediate sprint located at Bilbao after 48.7km. ‬
... From here the peloton head north over a uncategorised climb before a downhill leads to a series of uncategorised hills leading north down to the coast. From here the peloton follow the coastal road to the category 3 Alto de San Juan de Gaztelugatxe 3.8km, 6.7% after 85.2km. From there downhill leads down to Bermeo, from here south along a 20km on a flat road. ‬
‪The peloton head east to the category 2 Alto del Balcon de Bizkaia 7.3km, 4.3% after 120.6km. From here downhill north in the opposite direction to a loop north east to the category 3 Alto de Santa Eufemia 4.5km, 5% after 136.2km. Followed by a decent to the south east and west leads to the category 3 Alto de Gontzegaraine 5.5km, 4.3% with 9.9km to go. ‬
‪From there a descent to rejoin the old parcours in Munitibar and from here the peloton turn left to climb back up the category 1 Balcon de Bizkaia 7.3km, 9.7%, max. 24%, this time up from the steep side. The first 3.2km at 6-7% on the road the peloton descended earlier and then the parcours turns off onto a concrete road. The road is a consistent climb of more than 14% that leads to 1.5km to go, after which it levels out before it rises by 10.7% up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 16 Santillana del Mar – Torrelavega 32km Individual Time Trial.‬
‪The race of truth along rolling roads with 590m of vertical gain.‬
‪From the start ramp the riders hit a 5% hill followed by a descent. Then the parcours continues along rolling roads leading west and south west to Cobreces, turning around to head east and south east over the next uphill section 1km, 4% to the town of Novales after 13km. From here the riders face a 3.4km hill, rising by 4....9%, a sector over 1.5km rises by 6%. ‬
‪From the top a 3km decent to the south east to Golbardo after 19km, from there the riders turn to the north and east towards the finish. From there the last uphill climb 2km, 3.5% followed by a decent, the last 10km to the line are either flat or downhill. The riders have a left turn at 3.2k to go followed by a left at 2.1km to go, right on a roundabout at 1.7km to go and through a roundabout at 1.3km to go, then a U-turn after the flamme rouge, and finally a right with 200m to go towards the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 15 Ribera de Arriba – Lagos de Covadonga 178.2km.‬
‪A rolling stage with three categorised climbs and a few uncategorised climbs before the summit finish of Lagos de Covadonga.‬
‪From the start the peloton head along flat terrain to the south east before heading north to head up the category 3 Alto de Santo Emiliano 6.1km, 4.7% after 20km. From here, along hilly terrain to the north east before a downhill leads down to Villaviciosa. From here north to h...ead up a uncategorised climb before heading back to the north east along a downhill to the coast. ‬
‪After a short flat leading east back into the country the peloton turn south to the category 1 Mirador del Fito 7.1km, 7.7%, max. 11% after 100.1km and the climb rises by 9.3% over the last 4.4km. Then a descent to south west over a small uncategorised climb, before a long downhill leads north to the coast. From here south until the peloton take on the second passage of the category 1 Mirador del Fito 6.3km, 7.7%, max. 11% after 137.6km.‬
‪From the summit a decent before a uncategorised climb, then flat terrain to the south east past the intermediate sprint located at Cangas de Onis after 156.3km. After that, a rising valley road to the south east leads to the bottom of the summit finish category HC Lagos de Covadonga 11.7km, 7.2%, max. 20%. ‬ The first 8km rise with 9-12%, with a 800m stretch at 15%. Then a flat section leads to a steep section up to 20% followed by a descent to the last kilometre and then the road rises at 7.5% in the last 200m to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 14 Cistierna – Alto Les Praeres 171km.‬
‪A challenging stage which features three category 1 climbs, with a lot of descending.‬
‪From the start west with a steep, but unclassified climb after only 8km before turning north to head into the mountains. The peloton follow a slightly rising valley road towards the category 2 Puerto de San Isidro 11km, 3% after 60km. Then a long descent through the feedzone before the steep category 1 Alto de la Colladona 5.3...km, 8.1%, max 11.14% after 92.6km. Followed by a technical decent to the north east and a slight descending valley that leads to the north west.‬
‪The peloton do a loop that leads west via a flat valley road before turning south towards the category 1 Alto de la Mozquieta 6.5km, 8.7%, max. 10.0% after 127.1km. A technical decent leads to the intermediate sprint located at Blimea after 141km. From here, it rises to the the category 3 Alto de la Falla de los Lobos 5.3km, 6.4% with 21km to go following a decent and a flat valley road of 10km to the north east to Nava. ‬
‪From here turn south to head up the summit finish category 1 Alto Les Praeres 4km, 12.5%, max. 17%, it rises by about 15% over the first 2km and reaches 17% midway before a plateau near the flamme rouge. From there it rises with a 9.5% section up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 13 Candás. Carreño – Valle De Sabero. La Camperona 174.8km.‬
‪Time for the GC a summit finish at 8km, 7.5% with sections above 15% and above 20% in parts.‬
‪From the start to the north coast just west of Gijon, from there south. The category 3 Alto de la Madera 7km, 3.5% after 21km, leading up to a plateau that is followed to the south. Then south and south east along a slightly rising valley until the category 1 Puerto de Tarna 13km, 5.8%, max 7.5% the... first half is a lot easier with the second half averaging around 6%. ‬
‪From the summit, 69.8km to go, a short descent followed by almost 60km of flat rolling roads slight downhill turning south west towards the start of the climb and the intermediate sprint located at Sabero with just 8.3km to go and then the category 1 La Camperona 8.3km,7.5%. ‬
‪The first 5km are false flat 2-3%, but then 1.5km at 7.3% followed by more false flat and then the last 2.6km rise by 13.3% on average and reaches a total of 24% before it levels out slightly 11-12% on the last kilometer. The last 800m straight up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 12 Mondoñedo – Faro de Estaca de Bares. Mañón 181.1km.‬
‪One for a breakaway with the finale 20km made up by short uncategorised climbs and narrow roads.‬
‪From the start the peloton head east and up the category 3 Alto de Cadeira 5.8km, 6.4% after 10.8km followed by a decent and a plateau leading up to a left turn that leads the peloton to the north via a further decent to the coast. Here the peloton turn west and north west and follow the flat coastal... road towards the finish. The peloton reach the feed zone after 88km, from here west to up a small hill before heading back to a rolling coastal road. ‬
‪After 120km the peloton head south west up the category 3 Alto de San Pedro 7.7km, 5.1% with 50km to go. From here north west via a decent leads back to the south west into the country via a uncategorised 2.7km,5.6%, max 9% with 32km to go before turning around to head north down to the flat coast road to the intermediate sprint located at Ortigueira after 157km. ‬
‪From here the peloton follow the hilly coastal road to the north east and with 15km to go a uncategorised 1.5km, 5.0% with the summit just 9km to go and from here the road rises over 2.5km, 4.8% up to the 2.5km to go banner followed by a sharp left turn on a descent with 1.5km to go that leads slightly uphill until the flamme rouge and then it drops down towards the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 11 Ribeira Sacra. Luintra – Mombuey 207.8km.‬
‪The longest stage of the race, no easy day with 3750m of climbing throughout this mid mountain stage.‬
‪From the start along flat terrain the peloton head west towards the mountains. The category 3 Puerto del Padornelo 5.7km, 5.3% after 37.7km, from there downhill with several long hills with shallow 4-5% gradients which leads to the category 3 Alto do Covelo 9.5km, 4% after 101.5km. Followed by a technical... descent that leads north west. ‬
‪The category 2 Alto de Trives 10.5km, 4.6% after 139km, from there it continues to rise before a descent to the intermediate sprint located at Castro Caldelas after 159.6km. Then a descent to an uncategorised 2.9km, 5.8% climb. Followed by the category 3 Alto del Mirador de Cabezoas 8.8km, 4.3% with 17.8km to go. ‬
‪From there the road descends for almost 12km until 5.6km to go, the peloton hit a uncategorised climb 2km, 7.8%. It's steep and long enough to make a difference before the top with just 3km to go. From there a downhill to a sharp left turn at the flamme rouge, continue downhill until the road rises by 3.5% up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 10 Salamanca – Fermoselle 177km.‬
‪After the rest day, the peloton get back into action with a sprint stage.‬
‪From the start the peloton do a 54km circuit in the south east before it loops back to the start from there the peloton heads for the Duero river valley to the north west followed by the feed zone in Ledesma after 95km. ‬
... ‪From here the peloton heads north west towards the Intermediate sprint located at Trabanca after 136km. From there turn to the north via a downhill to the valley followed by the category 3 Alto de Fermoselle 4.9km, 5.3% after 147.9km. The ‬climb isn’t hard enough to put any of the sprinters into trouble.
‪From the summit the road continues to rise easy for 7.2km and the peloton head east along a straight road towards the finish. There is not a turn in the last 5km, where the road only bends slightly with 600m towards the line. ‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 9 Talavera de la Reina – La Covatilla 200.8km.‬
‪After the first week, the first big summit finish of the race to the ski station.‬
‪From the start the peloton head towards the mountains through hilly terrain to the north. From here the category 1 Puerto del Pico 15.3 km, 5.5%, max 15% after 52.3km. From there a short descent before turning west onto the category 3 Alto de Gredos 10.1km, 3.7% after 68.6km. Followed by a short descent before heading nort...h up the long category 2 Puerto de Pena Negra 13km, 4.5% after 98 km. ‬
‪From the summit a descent to the north west that leads down to flat terrain to the Intermediate sprint located at Guijuelo after 149km. From there south towards the mountains and to the city of Bejar. From there the peloton turn south and north east, shortly after a descent east to the summit finish category HC La Covatilla 9.8km, 7.1%. A easy start, then a steep section by 9-12% for six kilometres before easing before the final kilometre, a straight road with a 1-2% up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 8 Linares – Almadén 195.1km.‬
‪An uphill finish but the closing kilometre is going to be difficult.‬
‪From the start the peloton head west along rolling terrain before heading north to the category 3 Alto de Espanares 10.3km, 3.4% after 82km. ‬
... ‪From the summit onto a plateau and followed by the feedzone located at Venta del Charco after 86km. From there rolling terrain to the north and then north west to the intermediate sprint located at Villanueva de Córdoba after 123.6km and from here a downhill until the peloton turn north onto a small hill after 165km. Then downhill leading to the north. The road starts to rise with 5km to go but not difficult, the final 2km kicks up at around 4%. The peloton pass through the flamme rouge and turn 180° on a roundabout and up to a 6% section to a tight hairpin that exits at 300m to go at 5% before easing up to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 7 Puerto Lumbreras – Pozo Alcón 185.7km.‬
‪A classic Vuelta sprint stage with the final 20km being very difficult.‬
‪From the start the peloton head north via rolling terrain and rising to Marta after 39km. From there rolling over a long distance leading west, before a downhill leads to the category 3 Alto Collado de Laude 5km, 6.1% after 117km.‬
... ‪After the climb a long decent the peloton reaches Pozo Alcón and crosses the line for the first time the wrong way to head out onto a circuit and head south for 10km. The peloton turn and take a small road north before reaching a bigger road towards the climb. ‬
‪The category 3 Alto de Ceal 4.5km, 5,4% with 12.7km to go. It has an easy start, but rises halfway through to 7-8% over 2km before it flattens out near the top. There is small downhill then it continues to rise slightly to the east until the intermediate bonus sprint located at Hinojares with 8.7km to go. From here, a short descent follows before the road drags up to the line, with an average gradient of 2% for the remaining 5.5km. The long straight road offers soft turns over the last 5km until the peloton reach 500m to go when the peloton go through a roundabout and then turn left with just 300m to go and it kicks up at 3% to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 6 Huércal Overa – San Javier. Mar Menor 155.7km.‬
‪A stage for the sprinters with only two category 3 climbs.‬
‪From the start the peloton head to the east along a downhill towards the Mediterranean coast. From there a flat coastal road towards the north east into the country to head up the category 3 Alto del Garrobillo 3.8km, 5.7% after 57.3km. From here a downhill to the feedzone located at Mazarrón after 77km then back to the coastal road to the eas...t. ‬
‪The peloton head north back into the country to head up the category 3 Alto del Cedacero 4km, 6.2% after 103km. From here downhill towards the intermediate sprint located at Cartagna with 37.7km to go. From here the peloton head back east before turning north along downhill followed all the way to the finish. In the last 5km there is a turn on a roundabout at 3.8km and then a straight road to the flamme rouge followed by the last left turn on a roundabout at 700m to go, after a straight sprint to the line.‬

‪Vuelta a España stage 5 Granada – Roquetas de Mar 188.7km.‬
‪A sprint stage that includes 3000m of climbing and a category 2 that's crested with 27km to the line.‬
‪From the start the peloton head south and south east along rolling terrain, which gradual climbing. The peloton head east along a decent to the category 3 Alto de Orgiva 4km, 7% after 55km. From there rolling road as the peloton head north and north east to Cadiar. From there east via a decent leads to the the fe...ed zone before an uncategorised climb leads towards the north east and east until the intermediate sprint located at Laujar de Andarax after 117.5km. ‬
‪From here the peloton continue east and north east via a small hill before turning towards the south east towards the coast. From here the peloton turn south to the category 2 Alto el Marchal 10.8km, 4.1%, max. 6%. The climb is a long and gradual ascent with gradients of 4-5% which is enough to drop the sprinters. From the summit 26.7km to go, then a technical decent to the south down towards the Mediterranean. With 9.7km to go, the peloton reach the outskirts of the finish, then continue along flat terrain to the south towards the centre and then under the flamme rouge a left turn on a roundabout and then another with 650m to go and then a straight to the line. ‬
