D-Range

It is with great sadness that we announce that D-Range will no longer continue as a commercial recording studio. Due to a recent noise complaint which has led us to require a noise assessment survey. We have had a pre informal assessment and have been told that it will be unlikely that we would pass the assessment without extensive acoustic treatment to the building where the studio is situated. Due to our location, the parameters are very strict and there is no guarantee th...at even with the expensive acoustic treatment carried out that we would pass the noise assessment let alone further planning permission that is required. With that, we are deeply saddened and have come to the difficult decision to unaffiliate D-Range with the rehearsal/recording studio and the studio itself will just be for private use only.
We are honouring all our current bookings and gift voucher purchases but will no longer be accepting any bookings for studio use. Once the last booking has passed that will be the official stop date.
D-Range will still continue with PA hire, backline hire, gig promoting and the d-range sessions for the foreseeable future.
We want to apologise to anyone who has been trying to get in touch recently. Trying to find solutions to keep the studio going has taken priority.
The past 6 years have been amazing and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us and helped the studio grow. We have met and worked with some amazing people and made some new friends along the way. We still hope to be involved and make some form of contribution towards in the local music scene.

Would like say a big thank you to everyone who came to the gig last night. A special thanks to Floating Heads, Audiokicks, Kanadia and Monza Express for their fantastic sets. If you havent done so already, you should check out their social media and streaming pages. Give them a like and follow to see what they have in store for you in the near future.
It was our last gig of the year so make sure to get out and support your local scene with the abundance of great gigs and artists that will be going on upto the new year. Doing so will encourage more talented bands like Kanadia to take the long trip up to Aberdeen.
