Daba Juniors Badminton Club

The club restarted tonight. Here is one of the warm up activities

Hi all,
Just a little reminder that the DABA Junior Club will restart on Wednesday after the Easter holidays. There are a couple of changes to make you aware of also:
1) The time the club runs is changing back to 18.00-20.00. This was the original timing and we have reverted back to this after not having been able to secure those times over the winter.
... 2) We welcome Bill Hogg as our new coach. Chris Smith, who has been absolutely crucial in getting the club off the ground and has been a real asset to the club over the past year, is stepping down from the role in order for him to focus on other ventures. On behalf of DABA and the club, I would like to thank Chris for all of his hard work over the last year. The club would not have been possible without his input and it is with a heavy heart we bid him farewell and good luck for the future.
Bill, however, is a more than capable replacement. Bill has been involved in badminton for the vast majority of his life as a player, coach, Yonex rep, badminton development officer and most recently worked with Badminton Scotland as Coaching and Development Manager. By all accounts Bill is an excellent and highly experienced coach and we are lucky to have him on board. Bill will start on Wednesday, where I will be along to introduce him to everyone.
I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.

Just to let you know tomorrow evening will be the last club night before the Easter holidays. The club will restart on Wednesday 17th April at the NEW time of 18.00-20.00.

Happy New Year!
Just to let you know that badminton will be back on tomorrow evening after the festive break. Look forward to seeing you all there, and maybe a few new racquets courtesy of Santa 🏸🏸

I am pleased to say that today's friendly match between DABA Juniors and NEFBA Jaguars was a success. In the under 13s section DABA won 7-1 but NEFBA turned the tides to win 5-3 in the under 17s section. The overall result being 10-6 to DABA Juniors. However the result was not important with the most pleasing aspects being seeing some great badminton played, everyone enjoying their badminton and a chance to play and meet some new faces.
Well done to the DABA team of Kyle Short, Meghan Walker, Chloe Walker, Mohammad Alrubayee, Fraser Hill, Luca Iannetta, Callan Johnstone and Hugh Doherty! Also well played to NEFBA Jaguars, we look forward to the return match!
