Daisy-Blue café /bistro and cookery school will be opening in two stages:
The first stage will be opening the cookery school and wholesale side of the business supplying both business', as well as the wider community, with an extensive range of vegan and gluten free products, including breads, pastries and our own range of vegetable crisps and snacks. We have also developed a range of bake-at-home frozen bread doughs, to give you the benefit of fresh bread without the 2 hour preparation process. Alongside this is our extensive vegetarian menu. This will all be produced on-site at our wholesale unit in Haddington, East Lothian, where we will also be running regular cookery classes, ranging from mother /toddler baking groups, community based cooking and baking classes, to a more professional class for those wishing to extend their knowledge in baking /cooking or progress their career further. We will also be offering further vocational training in hospitality and cooking to those with a disability and wishing to work within the industry. We will be encouraging community involvement within the business and welcome any suggestions and feedback you may have.
The second stage is the opening of our family friendly Café /Bistro. From our great menu to the activities and things to do for the kids, our aim in to become as accessible and open as possible. During the day we will be a quality Café and although we will keep the majority of the items based around our vegan /vegetarian menu we will also have a meat based menu as well. The Café /Bistro will have two open kitchens, ensuring the highest standards to prevent cross-contamination. The Bistro menu which will start from 6pm will be much smaller than the day menu, but offer the very highest quality with a regularly changing menu using only the very best local ingredients available. whether it be for a coffee morning, business meeting or a more intimate family dinner. You can guarantee the best local produce combined with the very best cooking in East Lothian will be at Daisy-Blue.
