Dales Marine Services Description
Dales Marine Services started in 1991 in Aberdeen as an offshoot from Dales Engineering and as part of the Dales Group. In 1991, the company started with eight employees and now employs around 100 staff with an additional 20-50 subcontractors.
Dales Marine Services operated from various harbour locations until taking over the only dry dock in Aberdeen from its previous owner in 2004. The previous owners had docked an average of 14 vessels per annum and in the first year of operation Dales docked 48 vessels.
In 2014, Dales Marine bought over the Forth Group, so the company now has six dry docks, and six repair and conversion yards. These are located in Aberdeen, Leith, Grangemouth, Montrose, Greenock and Troon.
Since inception it has been successful in securing ship repairing and marine engineering contracts along the East and West coasts of Scotland and England.

Our next docking in Aberdeen already underway before dry-docking on Saturday. Supply and replace all 1600 deck boards with new, I am sure this will keep our joiners busy.
Its been a busy start to 2019 at four of our dry docks. Picture below of the Loch Bhrusda in Troon dry dock for her annual maintenance, wash and paint. Troon is one of two dry docks we operate on the West Coast of Scotland.
Our Leith facility completes the FS Abergeldie in time for Christmas spot market. Well done to all involved.

Celebrating Christmas jumper day 2018 at Dales Marine Services in style.
Throughout Scotland the four offices took part in raising money, donating toys and food to Mission Christmas.
A grand total of £361.31 of money and over £500.00 worth of toys and food was collected today.

NAO Galaxy docks in Aberdeen for a pre Christmas wash.
The 82m North Sea PSV entered our Aberdeen dry dock yesterday for hull washing and underwater propulsion cleaning.
Its a hat trick for Dales Marine Services Greenock.
Not one, not two but yes three vessels in our Greenock dry dock this week. First in the dock is the hybrid Catriona, behind the SD Moorhen then following up the rear is the Argyle.
MV Loch Tarbert ready to depart our Troon facility this afternoon. Docking with us for a scheduled annual overhaul over 11 days. The Calmac Ferries famous red, white and black colours shining in the low sun set.
