Excellent dance studios at the heart of old town! Helpful staff and great facilities.
Love this place and the opportunities it offers to everyone who might enjoy dance...from those with additional support needs and physical challenges through various styles and levels of ability more able-bodied and competent dancers. Having been away from dance classes from almost 40 years I was hesitant and nervous to return but have thoroughly enjoyed all classes I have attended, which include Golden (a fantastic taster course for those more mature individuals who want to sample different types of dance before deciding which to choose), and the Inclusive Hop hop and Party Playlist classes on a Friday. The individuals I brought along to those two classes also thoroughly enjoyed their experience. I will definitely be back and have already recommended the classes highly to friends and family.
The syllabus of classes allows me to develop fast and DanceBase offers so many types of dances. The teachers are funny and very professional. They tell about history of dance in the same time. Currently I do very different types of dance classes and both allow me to learn new skills fast and properly. It also affects to me outside of studio and helps with my other hobbies. DanceBase is very friendly and welcoming environment. Starting from the receptionists to other girls on my class. I've made lot of friends just buy meeting them an hour per week in Dance Base and now we meet often outside of the studio as well. Another wonderful thing is the inclusiveness. The Christmas Show is so amazing experience. It's so much fun! I had only done ballet less than three months in my entire life and was allowed to take part in the show. It was such great experience. Last, I'd like to mention that Mr. Jonathan Burnett deserves extra thanks why I love Dance Base so much. He's the best teacher anyone could wish for. He's very professional but entertaining in the same time. And I can imagine how much he suffers deep down watching our terrible attempts but he always gives feedback in funny way too so it's not offending. Would recommend 100% to anyone!
I love this studio! All the courses I have done have had fantastic teachers and all the staff are lovely and helpful too. I canna decide on what classes I wanna do next as there is so many to choose fae!!!
The staff are the desk are helpful and friendly. The ballroom dancing instructors are fun and chirpy. They set a good standard so we improve rather than going round the floor willy-nilly. Anything I've done/seen at Dancebase has been great including Fringe shows.
Really good dance classes for adults in a great building. They also do classes for children and young people. Everyone is welcoming and friendly
It's a great place, they offer just about everything! Friendly, welcoming staff, and a very high standard of teaching. Great environment to workout and learn new moves.
A brilliant and broad selection of classes can be found in Scotland's National Centre for Dance. It's a great venue, with light and airy studios and experience, professional teachers. Gypsy Charms and Chris Stuart-Wilson are both favourites of mine, teaching interesting and unique classes with charm and verve. Highly recommended.
I have been attending the Musical Madness class this term and I absolutely love it. What a great, fun way to get your cardio in! The teacher Chris makes us all giggle while we're learning the steps, it's cheesy as anything and utterly brilliant!
