Xmas closure update...we have been extremely busy and have now sold out. We are now closed. See you all next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our customers. We re-open on Friday 3 January 2020.

Dandan's Christmas night out in November!!!

EARLY CLOSING It is Marymass Saturday tomorrow (24th) so we would like to advise all customers that we intend to close about 1.30pm/2pm to allow us to attend the festivities at the Moor with our family.
Apologies for any inconvenience to our late afternoon customers.

I unfortunately had to ask a customer to leave the van today after he complained that a burger I was cooking for him was burned.
Prior to this, and on previous occasions, he was telling me how to cook his onions and his egg and on another previous visit he insisted that we washed the “pre washed” lettuce.
He also told me that he regularly visited a restaurant in Dreghorn and he was allowed by them to enter the kitchen and cook his own food because they didn’t do it right and... to his liking.
He further informed me that he liked his burgers very lightly cooked and can eat raw beef.
I advised him that it was against the law for me to sell burgers which were not thoroughly cooked all the way through. I further advised him that burgers were made from minced beef and they carry a higher risk of e coli infection than a rare steak.
He then informed me that I had burned his burger and that he couldn’t eat it like that. I explained that the outside was seared and that it was not burnt but he could not accept that.
It was then that I unfortunately had to ask him to leave as I was not prepared to cook him a burger as he requested.
We pride ourselves on our customer service and try to accommodate most, if not all of our customer requests but we cannot compromise on public safety.
This customer will no doubt be telling everyone he meets that we burn our food but his history and the truth of the events must be known.

FOUND BRACELET
A child’s bracelet was found on the pavement at Dandan’s today.
It is silver coloured with embossed hearts and the words “make a wish”. It also has an angel trinket.
... It can be collected from the van during opening times.

Roadsigns have been put back up. Hopefully they won't be vandalised again.

It looks like someone has fallen out with us.
One of our road direction signs in Heatherhouse Road was pulled up and thrown over a fence on Wednesday evening/Thursday morning. The sign was recovered and fixed to roadside poles on Thursday afternoon.
Between 4pm Thursday and 6am Friday we had 5 directional signs ripped off poles at 3 locations and thrown away nearbye.
... This was not the work of kids as the signs were metal and rivetted onto metal poles.
If anyone knows who did this can you mention it to us confidentially at the van or send us a private message.
The matter has been reported to the Police.
