About Darcy'S Glasgow

Tucked into a corner of Princes Square. We have a lip-smacking menu from morning to night, plenty of coffee and pastries and a classic Sunday Roast.

Darcy'S Glasgow Description

Darcy's is a lovely little spot tucked into a corner of Princes Square. It's charm lies in the cheese trolley, the striped tea cosies, and the perfect little squares of meringue you get with a coffee. We have a lip-smacking menu from morning to night, plenty of coffee and pastries and a slow roast for a classic Sunday lunch.

We have a lot of drinks that you can't get anywhere else including our skinny cocktails for folk counting the calories, and our trademark Liquid Desserts, a selection of very special drinks crafted to taste exactly like your favourite pudding.

When it comes to little ones, we've got it covered. We have a big bunch of toys and puzzles and plenty of space to put them to good use. We have everything from storybook corner, facepainting on the last Sunday of every month between 1-3pm. . . and finally, everyone goes home with a balloon.

For adults, Darcy's transforms after dark. The lights go down, the candles come out, and we have some truly brilliant live DJs every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm playing lots of sweet soul music, 50s R& B, 60s Pop, disco and general good time vibes.

Come in, find a spot, and stay as long as you like.

Myself and 4 colleagues came for a work lunch on Thursday. We all had steak frites. The rump steak was really delicious and perfectly cooked. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and agreed we will be back. Waitress was lovely too

My friend took me to the harry potter experience what a night Darcy's put on loved the decor and potions room and the platform 9 and 3/4 to go to the toilets very ingenious food was gorgeous cocktails too staff were all friendly loved our cocktail maker in the potions room fantastic experience x x

I love Darcy’s. The food, drink, staff, service and ambiance are all perfect. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Darcy’s to anyone.

User

Had my baby shower with Darcy’s yesterday!

Thank you so much for making it a special day! The small personal touches like baby first teddy, flowers, candles and scattered crystals where a great touch! The decor of the room was so much more than I expected!

Thank you to our personal waitress Nicole (or Nicola - sorry baby brain), you where awesome and thanks for giving me your own personal fan to help me cope with the heat.

Thank you to the general manager for decorating everything and adding all the extras!

Food and service was fantastic no problems at all!

My friends and I had a fantastic afternoon and I would highly recommend yous to everyone!

Thanks again!!

User

Had another great meal at Darceys last night. Service was really good and the cocktails were fab!

User

Brilliant place for all the family! The little onevloves it too!

User

We had the fish and chips at Darcy's which were phenomonal, However the pickle that came with the meal was a little to hard to stab a fork into and I felt that if i kept trying it would fly across the restaraunt. The staff are very helpful and curteous. definately be back.

User

Overall had a lovely time at team xmas dinner. Food was lovely, staff pleasant and nice atmosphere. Service could have been better for drinks and the toilets - 1) tiny cubicles and 2) no toilet roll or soap most of the time we were there. Would go back but not at peak xmas time

User

My husband and I had lunch while our daughter was at The mad hatter tea party.

Our food and drinks were lovely and the staff were great but the service was a bit slow.

The tea party was fantastic and my daughter loved it. The theming was excellent with lots of attention to detail.

The only negative was that my daughter got out of the party room and came to our table and no one noticed, I'm just glad she found us and didn't wander off.

User

Had spaghetti Carbonara on Saturday, asked for parmasan cheese got Mozzarella instead !!! Thinking you had not any so gave an alternative, which wasn't told about and was put on spaghetti without saying so altered flavour of food, had Strawberry Darquari which was too sweet, pinot Grigot was far too dry

User

Popped in yesterday for lunch with my husband as we were out for a shopping day!

Ordered 2x soup and a club sandwich! The soup was luke warm the sandwich was on barely toasted white doughy bread . My white wine was in a dirty glass which I took to the bar and they didn't even apologise and exchanged it. Sat at a little square table for two that was dirty and wobbly. £30 for the pleasure So all in all not great.the only good thing was the staff were pleasant! Wouldn't go back or recommend. 😌

User

Food wasn't great . Fish was greasy .Burger nothing special . Was there with my teenage daughters who didn't like the greasy burgers . Fish and chips full of grease too. Very slow service and no effort to chat or make us welcome. We come here a lot when in Glasgow but won't visit again

User

Excellent service. Excellent carbonara. Greasy fish. A number of screaming toddlers and primary kids running from their restaurant seats to/from the courtyard throughout the entire 90 mins we were there. Parents oblivious to the disruption they were causing and staff not in control of it.

Paying grown-up prices I expect a grown-up atmosphere. Luckily I had us seated as far away from the rabble as possible.

They did however have some grown-up music on, which was excellent.

User

Booked the 2 coarse lunch £12 thought was reasonable but the menus wasn’t great starters were nice my friend had the burger said it was tuff I had macaroni was ok no chips no garlic bread just macaroni it tasted like it was out a tin so sorry don’t recommend £12 lunch deal last time we were there was lovely

User

Booked my girls in for the Roald Dahl chocolate factory experience and I'm bitterly disappointed!! It ran 25 minutes late and the children were all getting so bored waiting. We had coffee while we waited and it was freezing cold. Staff did try their best to keep us updated but was a poor show. When they eventually got in there was a film which wasn't advertised as my girls had seen it ! Even when they tried to watch it adults were walking in front of the screen but worst of all the chocolate fountain wasn't working !!! In my opinion it was the whole point of it! Very bad experience

User

What a joke the Peter Rabbit event was! We arrived at 12.55 and by 1.05 we had been asked 4 times by the waiter (who was rude) what we were having to eat. We had only ordered a coffee. We asked to wait till we had finished our coffee but we were asked again! Health and safety issue of burst balloons on floor that’s small children could of choked on was a disgrace! The entertainment staff that had been brought in used scissors to burst balloons which the balloons ended up all over the room including the floor! There were kids that were crawling that could of picked them up and put them in there mouth!

There should of been an age restriction as my daughter seemed too old for the “entertainment” if you can call it that!

Toys given to under 3’s that have a sign on them saying not suitable for age 0-3 years due to small parts being a choking hazard!

A child walked out restaurant alone to play outside in the courtyard. No staff stopped them! My daughter who had juice spilled over her dinner only had 3 chips as there was not enough food out for them. I was told they would make her fresh chicken nuggets but these took until the end of the event to come out!! So she had nothing! While my daughter was in at the “entertainment” she came out asking if she could have her face painted. I said yes but she then told me it would be £4 on top of us already paying £15 for the event!! The girl who was doing the face painting sat using her phone when there was no child getting there face done. So children were able to walk past her and right outside into the courtyard! We have been to Darcys events in the past an never ever experienced anything like this!!! Plus it cost £15 per child! All of this was reported to the manager on duty who had to then tell the “entertainment” staff to pick up the balloons!! I want something done about this. What a wasted day! The food we had was only bruschetta. We did plan on having a main course but decided not to as the day had been ruined by this point. There were a few people I overheard complaining about the price for the children and also complaining about the waiter. The people next to us told him 3 times they did not wish for a dessert. He then proceeded to come over and gave them the dessert menu!!! The woman and her daughter said they would not be back! I would appreciate a reply to this!

Went to the Peter Rabbit event yesterday, one of the worst Easter events we’ve ever been to. Calling it peter rabbit themed was a bit ambitious, was hardly any peter rabbit references at all. Other than a few stickers and the cocktail sticks used on the sliders there wasn’t much peter rabbit about it. We were told when booking space in the room was tight and they recommended adults eat in the restaurant during the event. There is no way the 2 staff members could supervise the amount of children there. The event consisted of a ten minute ‘egg hunt’ and some crafts and a game of musical bumps. We paid £15 per child and to top it off they charged extra for face paints....never been to an event like it. Not value for money at all.

Also, whilst me and my friend were in the room, my boyfriend had lunch in the restaurant. Ordered his food, and 20 minutes later the same waiter came up to take his order again. Not a good day out at all.

User

Was here today and ordered chicken ceasar salad x2 when it came decent enough but when we got the bill to pay they charged an extra £3 to the salad for chicken and bacon - Emm am I missing something?? As on the menu it’s £8.95 so am just paying for the lettuce??? Won’t be back total ripp off! False advertising
