We like to think of Dartnell Lynn Ltd as straight talking in an open, honest, direct A to B kind of way. Why? Because we like to think we explain about tax stuff in a clear and accessible fashion. What business expenses can you claim for? What can’t you claim for? What evidence do you need to provide? What do you need to keep and for how long? We deal with tax all the time so it’s easy for us, so let Dartnell Lynn do it for you. We will register you against our HMRC agent code, that way the HMRC will communicate with us as well of you and we can get on with the job.
We will complete your personal self assessment including savings, investments, dividends and pension incomes and assess the tax reliefs you can claim. Happy to talk, we will discuss your return on a one to one basis with you, checking all your supporting records are in place and completing the return.

If you are looking for accounting software then you certainly will be spoilt for choice with a rise in the number of online accounting products available. Gone are the days when you bought Sage or QuickBooks and loaded it onto your PC, now your accounts can be held in the cloud, accessed anywhere, anytime by you and your accountant.
So you have Xero, Freeagent, Kashflow, Twinfield, Liquid Accounts, Crunch etc. What to do...?
I’ve gone with QuickBooks Online Plus product, there’s not much to choose between them all really. They all have download options to link your bank, easy screens to view customers and suppliers, quote and invoice production, easy storage of supplier invoices and mobile connectivity. QuickBooks have been around for donkeys years, the company has a wealth of resources and a massive customer base to keep happy and away from the competition. I am happy they will continue to innovate and provide a good, well priced product.
Price wise there are three products currently ranging from £9 to £29, these prices are always subject to special offers so these prices do change.
Having signed on to the QuickBooks Accountant program I am able to offer Quickbooks Online Plus (currently £29) for £ 9.99 for the duration of your subscription. Unfortunately the offer runs out on April 20th 2015. Got to be quick! Happy New Tax Year - What’s new! Tax free personal allowance up from £ 10,000 to £ 10,600. Marriage allowance transfer enables the lower income partner to transfer £1,060 of their allowance to their spouse – saving up to £212. ISA Limit increased to £ 15,240. If you are aged over 55 or more you can take money from your defined contributions pension pot without having to buy an annuity. Not so pleasant but important, if an individual dies before aged 75 their pension pot will ...be passed on tax free. AND follow on from the budget announcement ….in store…. Tax free personal allowance up to £ 11,000 in 2017 Help to Buy ISA – First Time Buyers 25% contribution up to £ 3,000 for first time buyers!! Charities able to claim 25% gift aid on £ 8,000 of donations.
