When you come stay, make sure you visit Castle Douglas and get prize-winning fish and chips from Moore's. And if the sun's out, the park is a gorgeous spot to picnic.

Those of you've stayed at Davaar Cottage might remember there used to be 3 HUGE fir trees just behind it. Well, they've gone now and we're enjoying all the wonderful sunshine beaming through. And look at that sad BBQ still wrapped up - wouldn't you like to have a steak for dinner cooked on that?! Book in and come get cooking!

We're very chuffed because over the next few weeks we've got several return visitors coming up, always a good sign. We're chocka for May but loads of availability in June and July, strangely. Also, we've just got an extra bed, so the twin room can sleep 3 kids comfortably.

We can't always guarantee sunshine in gorgeous Dumfries and Galloway, but that's no reason not to go to the beach. Rockcliffe is a favourite - amazing rock pooling, trekking across to Rough Island and then tea and cakes in this lovely little antique shop-cafe.

Did you know that in April the ice hockey world champs are being held in Dumfries?
