Complete jobsworth staff at this post office. I needed to sellotape a small label onto a package for posting so I asked the arrogant “assistant” if he would kindly be able to do this for me. There was sellotape behind the counter that he could have used but informed me that I had to buy my own roll. What happened to customer service. Clearly not the only one complaining about the attitude of the staff here.

The staff member are extremely rude. This kind of people shouldn't exist in this world. Will never use this post office again in my life.

I went in there on Tuesday to buy a book of stamps. The man behind the counter was taking an excessive amount of time with a queue forming and he was quite happy to waste everyone's time. When I asked politely if I might just be served and said he could keep talking to the lady in front of me (who had finished her transaction and was being asked a fourth question by him about some walk up a hill) he told me I was "exceptionally rude" and "it wasn't their fault that I hadn't made enough time in my day"
Initially I was taken aback and quite angry but now I think he may need help?
I am sure he comes over quite well if you are there for a chat with nothing else to do that day.
I definitely won't be frequenting the DM post office again.
As a footnote, having met a few friends immediately after the encounter I was told of various friends and relatives who won't shop there due to a similar experience.

My review from 5 months ago: "I found the staff extremely friendly and very helpful."

Like others I'm confused by the negative reviews, I use this post office regularly and have never had anything but the most outstanding helpful, friendly service, always going the extra step to help with suggestions, solutions, cost saving etc etc.

They remain ever polite and helpful. I'd invite the negative reviewers to revisit.

The virulence of the negative reviews here leaves me dumbfounded.

I have been in on many occasions over the last year and I am constantly impressed by the professionalism, courtesy and helpfulness of the guys. They are a credit to their business and certainly don't deserve to have their reputation trashed.

Arrogant and officious. Both my wife and I have experienced their terrible attitude. Go elsewhere.

On my first review I wrote "Cashier was rude and argumentative" and gave one star...as I couldn't award zero...

But....the management must have taken notice of the bad reviews and a new person has taken over manning the tills, who is one of the loveliest, most polite and professional people I've ever met!

...happy to go to five stars now!

Complete jobsworth running the shop. Would scam your Granny out of her last penny. I have seen him blatantly ripping people off. Arrogant, cocky and downright rude. Wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them!

On arriving I went to the main counter and had a "closed" sign waved in my face and was told to go to the counter at the front of the shop. I wish they would make up their minds, last time I was there they refused to service me at that counter and told me to go to the main counter! The service is diabolical and the attitude of the staff is to say the least rude. Be warned, they do not like anyone complaining, when I did so they got very nasty and one member of staff refused to serve me. As a customer, in any shop I have the right to complain or compliment where it is deserved.
The service and staff here are a far cry from what the customers got under the previous owners who won an award for best post office.

Horrible horrible individuals working here. Post office is a private company now and need to rid their business of these nasty pieces of work that are happy to shout and people and act aggressively to people making genuine mistakes - official complaint made

P.s. Suggest google add facility to award zero stars 1 suggests they earned something

Staff extremely arrogant and rude. Will never use again and can't think of anything positive to say about the place. If you need a Post Office, find one somewhere else.

Maybe this Post Office should have a sign saying "No children allowed". This way, it would stop the people who work there waiting on their opportunity to criticise childrens' behaviour and making the parents feeling embarrassed and agitated. Children are clearly not wanted in this shop and there are a lot of low level items on display - ones that children are going to get excited about. If I'm dealing with my own children's behaviour and asking them not to touch, then I certainly don't expect a staff member to immediately ask me to get them to stop. This has happened too many times and they seem to think they're asking "in the nicest possible way". It's not nice, it's just rude, they are waiting to pounce and they are not supporting the people in the community they work in. Although this Post Office is convenient for me, I would rather travel further a field to stop my day from being ruined again.
