Today's special: Cullen skink macaroni with mozzarella, leeks, smoked haddock and cream, baked in the oven - a blend of Italian and Scottish tradition 😋

We often hear this question:
- Why aren't you serving carbonara and pizza? Isn't that what an Italian restaurant should offer?
To which we answer:
... - We don't. We chose to show you that there is so much more to Italian cuisine than *just* pizza and carbonara! Sure, all Italian restaurants offer these foods because that is what they think customers want, but we are determined to introduce you to the array of tastes and flavours that Italian dishes have to offer. Tuscan cuisine is mainly about simple meals, but full of flavour - because they are made using fresh, high-quality ingredients that bring out the natural flavours in each dish, simple or not.
We urge you to try something from our menu, you won't regret it! DaVinci tries to be different and serve some of the most delicious Italian meals, not just pasta and pizza. And don't even get us started on garlic bread! Let's be clear: Italians do not eat garlic bread, someone invented this and called it "Italian", but it is not.
How about trying our delicious bruschetta al pomodoro? It's like garlic bread, only so much better! And it also has a little bit of garlic, but toast and tomatoes are the main ingredients.

We went to the vegan weekend last night and absolutely loved. We had the spelt salad, bruschetta, mushroom tagliatelle, mushroom gratin and finally the chocolate cake and truffles for pudding. All cooked to perfection and beautiful presentation and great priced. Only downside there was no vegan white wine however great to see an Italian restaurant championing vegan food and hopefully the meals become permanent features on the menu.

We had our anniversary lunch here today, not only was the service impeccable & friendly, the food was insanely delicious! The wine was an excellent choice & finnished off with espresso & shots the perfect start to our romantic day. We felt like we were abroad thank you for a lovely meal we will 100% be back next year if not before !

Superb service, central location and fabulous food.

The food is always sensational; fresh, tasty and seasonal, and the service is superb. We are always warmly welcomed and treated like family.

Took my partner here to sample the highly rated vegan options that have been recommended by many. Had the bruschetta a la pomodore for antipasti that kick started my taste buds into over drive, accompanied by a (vegan) montepulciano d' abruzzo, I thought my culinary sampling was at its peak until a main serving of porcini mushroom tagliatelle. To top of the authenticity of classic Italian melodies, dishes served from the heart and unbeatable rapport the shot of limoncello summed up the zesty yet sweet evening (after our coconut vegan truffles of course). Would highly recommend and will return at very first opportunity...

My boyfriend and I visited tonight to mark a special occasion and we will both say it was the perfect choice. Amongst the delicious food was impeccable service and atmosphere and we couldn't have been happier with our experience- despite the electrical malfunction which was handled perfectly and we only felt added to the experience. We read reviews before coming and I'm happy to say they seem like a load of rubbish as we couldn't have faulted anything with the restaurant. It's charming, authentic and an absolute gem in the grey city. A real find and I would encourage anyone considering a visit to go and make your own opinion of this place rather than go off the keyboard warriors on Facebook leaving bad reviews. Thank you DaVinci's for a lovely evening and hopefully we will see you soon!

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at DaVincis (2/6/18), the staff were brilliant, great with suggestions, offered options on meals as everything was made to order and just very friendly! The food was gorgeous, in particular the penne alle cozze (mussels) would recommend! Thanks DaVincis!

Just had a really really good meal here. Everything is home/ handmade (you can taste the love in every bite). Genoise sponge in my dessert would definitely warrent a 'Hollywood handshake' rounded off with the most perfect coffee I have had in a restaurant in the last five years. So hope this place does well and stays open.

If you want REALLY Italian food you have to visit Da Vinci!!!

From the starter to dessert everything was just perfect and just like on our travels through Italy � tasty and full of flavour!

Forget Ask, Prezzo and other chain crap!

If you want true Italian food Da Vinci is the place to eat!

Great end to our graduation day celebrations ! Graduation 3 course set menu was perfect and food was lovely ! Elena our host and her staff were excellent and made a genuine fuss of our new graduate ! Highly recommend Da Vinci’s for a meal ! Pleasant surroundings, staff and quality food !
