Dawyck has been in the care of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) since 1979. Together with Benmore Botanic Garden and Logan Botanic Garden, they constitute one of the richest plant collections on Earth, with more than 15, 000 species in cultivation, representing almost seven per cent of all known plants.
