Dean Gallery Allotments

A city gardening community

The kitchen garden to the orphans home (built 1833) in what is now the Dean Gallery hosts a small group of allotments for growing fruit and vegetables. It is independently managed. The large brick-built shed is adorned with Ian Hamilton Findlay artwork. More than 30 apple trees including some rare heritage species contribute to the groups annual cider production.
