Debenhams

Went into Mac Store in Debenhams last week to buy makeup and use a £25 gift voucher I was given which was purchased at Morrisons, Giffnock. Brought two items worth £50 to check out, only to find out their till was not accepting any cards. Was asked to come back with cash,which I couldn't do and found a bit odd, since I don't carry cash. Came back next day to buy the Mac products firstly asking if they had their card machine now working, they confirmed they had. Took both products to the counter and gave them my gift card and my credit card only to find they said my gift voucher had not been activated by Morrisons. They said I had to go back to Morrisons and ask them to activate the card. This morning 28th October, my mother in law took back the card plus its receipt to Morrisons and asked them to activate the card, guess what they said it was activated and I need to now go back to Debenhams Silverburn for a third time, as Morrisons say, "it's a Debenhams issue". To say I am disgusted is an understatement. I will never buy a gift card again, in any supermarket or retail store, as in my case, both parties are blaming each other. Where is the customer in all of this? Dreadful experience and very dissatisfied with both retailers!

Possibly one of Debenhams most up-market stores. Closest to it in my book is their Birmingham store.

Went with my future daughter in law for a wedding bra on Sunday and the only words I can use is RUDE RUDE RUDE, the small blonde woman had no interest and walked off twice and left us standing when she came back she told us there was nothing she had that would suit!! and waltz away again .I WILL NOT BE BACK !! and intend to phone the store too .

Despite spending a lot of money at Christmas, the management staff were rude and aggressive so avoided shopping there. Recently decided to give Debenhams another go and the staff member at the make-up counter was dismissive and actually walked away from me resulting in me leaving empty handed. Very disappointed and will not go back.
