Decathlon - Braehead

Not enough assistance on the shop floor.
When eventually you got assistance they were clueless.
Massive plus for the store was attitude of Thomasz on bike stand.
As well as his knowledge he is very polite and well mannered.

Website stock check does not match to the store stock, so you may waste your time and petrol to get there. car park was half empty on Saturday PM and took us ages to get back to Old Govan Rd and then pass traffic lights. Decathlon Glasgow location was by a mile better in Glasgow Fort.

Decathlon is actually pretty great for all kinds of sports equipment. Their motto is something along the lines of "accessibility to sport for everyone" and they do that pretty well. My only qualms: sometimes it's hard to find knowledgeable help (or any help). I have no idea about what kinds of conditions the workers making their products have to suffer through to make my new thermal top which retails for only 8 quid.

Great store, with a wide selection of sporting goods. Hunting and camping particularly well represented. A little out of the way, especially if you are cycling in the rain. :D Very helpful and friendly staff!

Great selection of sport and leisure wear, mjght not be common brand names bht still good quality. Staff aways helpful.

Value for money and no sales staff chasing after you asking if every thing is OK and when you need help it is readily available

Had a good selection of equipment to get you started on your chosen activities, I only wanted a child's kite, I knew they had some as I checked before I went, staff knew where they were and we're very helpful.

Brilliant sports so with almost everything you could need. Large range of accessories for almost all sports. Staff are very helpful and polite.

Decathlon has many products. More on their website too. But, the website stock is not the same in-store. No way to check if stock is available at your chosen store. Depending on what your buying most of their brands are poor quality. Shop around and compare with other brands and feel the quality before you part with your cash. Some products are good for the money. However- the instructions supplied for many products are usually in French! Decathlon is a French company after all but be cautious.

Huge store with a massive selection across loads of different sports. I like this place as it caters for all budgets which a lot of other outdoor stores don't do. The hiking gear is good, more than adequate for British munros and weather. The only item I wouldn't bother with are their own brand of running shoes - these for beginners only. Stick to the name brands they sell.

It is the best sports superstore! They have their own brand for for almost every sport, and in every case, the quality of their products is superb. What's more, all of their (own-brand) products have 2 years of warranty!! Staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been shopping at Decathlon for many years and I still love the high product quality combined with the very reasonable prices.
