I didn't like this place at all, the tanks were dirty and over populated as a marine fish owner i was appalled at how bad a specialist place like this can have dirtier tanks than myself. Access to the entrance is a little bit confusing in my opinion. The staff were friendly and informative so kudos too them.

Main reason for going, the clear underwater tunnel, you can see sharks and Manta ray. That's it though. The place is a bit shabby and relies upon its chief attraction, the underwater tunnel a little too much. The entrance is poorly signed and the place is cheap in appearance.

Still a good trip out but looking at bit dated. Seahorses are plentiful now and most displays are well stocked. The octopus was new to me and quite interesting. Overpriced cafe so brought own lunch and set a limit for shop as onlu cuddly toys, magnets and pencils worth buying.

The place needs a clean up. The cafe is poor and the shop is full of rubbish, no books or postcards. The signage is too high for children to read. The fish are amazing and it has huge potential unfortunately not enough of the expensive entrance fee is used to upgrade and improve the experience.

Lovely day out with the family. Lots to see and longest "conveyor belt" viewing tank we've been on which my 12 month old and e year old both enjoyed. Liked the outside seal viewing. Guy on till also did a little tour which was nice and informative. Food was a real let down, but I'm not taking a star away for that as it's the aquarium I'm rating but better service and a cleaner canteen would be great :)

Very poor, it takes about 30 mins to go round the whole thing. Tunnel is the best bit. Avoid the cafe, it's terrible. You'd never guess it's a run for profit plaice (pun and sarcasm intended).

The aquarium is one of the smallest I have been to but the shark tunnel is the best I have seen and all but one of the other displays are well maintained and there is good information at each tank. We spent several hours here and listened to several of the talks making it a most enjoyable visit.
So why only 3 stars? - Two reasons, the guppy tank and the "restaurant'.
The guppy tank is very badly neglected and the fish in the tank are in bad condition. This tank is in the educational room, talk about ironic!
But the worst thing about the whole experience is the so called "restaurant". This is a snak bar offering little choice at grotesquely inflated prices! They do not cater for people with allergies and the staff do not know what is in their products, even though the law states they must know this information. The manager has a couldn't care less attitude and even stated he was not the manager when we asked to see him (several other staff stated he was the manager).

Far to expensive for what it is. We managed to see everything within the first hour of being there. Went looking for a nice family day out. Arrived at 10: we looked around all the attractions, had some tea and cake, looked around some more and were away by 12. I wouldn't just not recommend, I would positively advice you to stay clear- much better things to do with you money and family out there!

The tunnel is pretty good and the sharks are impressive but other than this there is not really much on offer for the £15.00 entry price.
The seal enclosure has seen better days and can do with a good clean.
The restaurant was not a great experience as even though it was relatively empty they still managed to forget my order so I was waiting around 45 mins for a burger and chips!
