Dem-Master are currently carrying out works within the iconic Met Tower.
The former City of Glasgow College is known locally as the 'People Make Glasgow' building.
Even on a cold, wet and windy day like today, the views over Glasgow from the roof are incredible.

It's nearly that time of year to hang up the hard hats as we closed for two weeks over the festive break 🎅
Dem-Master and Total Recycling have had a great year in 2019 and we look forward to seeing what 2020 brings.
Special thoughts go out to those less fortunate at this time of year.

Dem-master successfully completed the demolition phase at the multi-million-pound development on the former Jordanhill College Campus in October.
Working in conjunction with Total Recycling Scotland and our client, CALA Homes (West), almost 100% of materials recovered from this project were diverted from landfill.
Our team worked in a sequence agreed by our client to safely clear away 19 buildings.
... A further 40,000 tonnes of inert material from the site was processed for reuse within the development.

In partnership with Multiplex, University of Glasgow and the DWP, Dem-Master are pleased to give opportunities to students which give them the chance to work in a live environment.
Mohamad is in his 4th year studying Civil Engineering.
Working between the University of Glasgow Development and the former Corunna House, Glasgow, Mohamad worked closely with our civil engineer, Iain.
... “First of all, I would like to thank Dem-Master Demolition for giving me the opportunity to practice real, live engineering works.
It was really great to get involved in some interesting engineering tasks which helped me understand and develop my knowledge of engineering. For example, I was involved in setting out different sites using Leica T6 for different purposes. This experience encouraged me to think and understand how to apply the survey on diverse scenarios.
Also, I developed my drawing reading and my communication skills, especially during setting out points and telling the machine operator where and how to dig.
This experience has improved my basic engineering knowledge and the benefit of practical experience is great.
I would like to thank Dem-Master Demolition staff for their help and support” - Mohamad

We realise there is a drive to help reduce waste and do our part to help the environment.
It is very important to us at Dem-Master and Total Recycling to keep our people up to date on how we can all contribute to maintaining a sustainable environment.
Each of our site supervisors will be carrying out more ‘Environmental Awareness’ training to the site teams and at our head office over the next couple of weeks in order to keep our team refreshed.
... With our second picking station based at our head office, we aim to achieve a 98% recycle rate from all materials coming from our site clearances.

We are currently adding to our website portfolio by uploading a few of the many schools we have worked on. We have just added the case study for The Former Baldragon Academy, Dundee: https://www.dem-master.co.uk/case-studies /
This project was particularly interesting for Sandra Cannon who was Depute Head at the former academy until 2015. As a former pupil of what was originally Kirkton High School, much of Sandra’s life was spent at the school. Having begun her career there a...s a teacher of English she worked her way up through the ranks which included being 'Acting Head Teacher' for a period of time.
Since retiring, Sandra and her group have put in a considerable amount of time recording the history of the school from its opening in 1960, including gathering photos, writing a book and having an exhibition / reception to mark the closure.
Sandra and her group came to the site to take photos of the former academy’s final moments as the Dem-Master team Demolished the various blocks. The school was in an unfit state for purpose which led to the construction of the new Baldragon Academy that has been built next door to the former school.
