Desertscapes is the product of my great passion for growing cacti and succulents which started when I was a young boy. My collection of plants has grown over the years but I have always had a great interest in propagation from seed. Obviously the more seed sown, the more seeds germinate and the need to find ways to continue their growth to maturity. Having the propagation technique almost perfected, I have run out of space for the youngsters and the idea of selling them as a part time business which, is also a passion, has come to be.

I am BSc educated and have a HND in Horticulture which I studied later in life at SAC Auchincruive. With a more professional approach and understanding of horticulture, Desertscapes has been born. I am constructing a main web site which will have an online shop which I hope to complete early 2015. My aim is to produce and sell quality plants and carry a small to medium sized stock which, I will change from year to year, depending on seed availability and of course, the germination rate.
