So, I've been over at Senza Eguali getting stuck into a beast of a BMW X5 M series.
The brake callipers were in need of some attention, mostly due to some over enthusiastic cleaning and heavy persistent use of acidic wheel cleaners.
After a thorough clean, degrease, and steam clean, the callipers were rubbed down, primed, painted, and lacquered. New stickers were also applied to the fronts, and the hubs were also tidied up to give a fresh look round.
... We're also most the way through a single stage paint enhancement on the Big Beemer, but I'll save the pics of that for another day!

Second job of the day was a slightly upgraded V2 valet on this grand looking Passat.
Road tar removal was tackled with KKD Tar-Tastic, which breaks down the tar so as to reduce the need for heavy scrubbing, which can mark and scratch the paint. A few pics of this are included to demonstrate the tar breaking down and running down the panel.
Once again Purity-X and SiCOAT giving amazing gloss, and Hydroglas glass cleaner was used, leaving a hydrophobic layer which enables water to bead tightly and roll off the windscreen whilst on the move thus increasing visibility.

First of two jobs today was a welcome return for this lovely BMW 3 series.
Having previously been treated to a protective coating, this was in need of a light clean and topped up with the gloss boosting combo of Purity-X and SiCOAT, both from KKD.
This was a V1 valet, as per the new pricing menu, but with any coating applied by me, future maintenance work will always receive an upgrade of products to aid the durability of the coating already applied.

Had a cancellation for Saturday morning if anyone’s car needs a freshen up for the weekend.

Had a hard days work on this Zafira, which was in need of some TLC inside and out.
Lots of spillages, and melted sweets to contend with inside, as well as paint splatters and green stuff growing on the roof bars and various other places!
Spent probably twice as long as planned on this, but got there in the end!!

This handsome Jaguar was treated to a little TLC today.
Originally booked in for a premium valet with some added attention to some scratched/scuffs that stood out, after cleaning it was apparent that the paint was quite milky, and tired looking.
KKD ReGLOSS+ was used on a machine polisher to give a minor enhancement and bring the gloss back, and help protect it for up to 8 weeks. Topped off with SiCOAT spray-on sealant, to add even more depth and protection.
... The wheels received several treatments with FeRRUM fallout remover to clean off all the stubborn brake dust and contamination. This is the "bleeding" effect you see in some of the pics. This is also used on the paint, where more contamination was found.
Work like this is worth keeping on top of, and it's important that correct "safe" washing techniques, and good quality products are used to help maintain the protection, and gloss.
With the above in mind a standard valet carried out within 8 weeks of a premium valet, or protective coating application, will receive a £5 discount. A follow up premium valet will receive a £10 discount.

Had the pleasure of carrying out a Premium Valet on this stunning looking Ford Focus today.
The outside was in need of a clean and a gloss boost, and inside needed sorting too, including some pet hair removal.
... The full armoury of Krystal Kleen Detail products came in handy for this job, not to mention a fantastic pet hair removal brush!!
A few hours later and the sporty Ford was back to looking its best.

Happy Monday everyone!!
Started the week with a Standard valet on this cool little Citigo from Skoda.
All the usual safe methods used for washing, and an upgrade to the usual shampoo was used.
... SLIK SEAL from Krystal Kleen Detail is a luxury shampoo containing a blend of Polymers and glazes, which help boost the gloss. This is great for cleaning a previously protected car. In this case it was to help lift the black a little more.
After drying, the car was topped off with a coating of Mist-X detailing spray.
I think the results speak for themselves 😊

Finished the week with a day working on this Beauty of a Mercedes GLC.
The big Merc was not looking too bad, but the owner was keen to give it some protection for the winter months, and tend to a few marks it had picked up, as well as some dressing and protection for the interior and engine bay.
After a thorough clean and decontamination the bonnet was machine polished to bring back some clarity and reduce swirls and marks it had picked up. The rest of the car had faired much... better, so only a couple of parking scuffs had to be polished out to finish the prep of the paintwork.
Wheels were also decontaminated, mostly due to a heavy buildup of road tar on the backs and between the spokes.
Once that was all done and wiped down, the paint, windows, and wheels were all coated in Si-STAL polymer resin from KKD, and topped off with SICOAT polymer sealant (such a great combo for gloss and protection).
The plastic trims were coated with Feynlab Plastic, which brings back the original look of the trim, while adding protection from fading. (has to be the best product I've used for restoring plastic trim!)
The engine bay was carefully cleaned with A-Kleen and dressed with Trim-X for the plastics and hoses, and Mist-X for the paint work.
Finally the leather interior was treated with Lush Leather cleaner & protectant from KKD.
With the right products and wash methods this should now be a lot easier to keep looking its best.
Apologies for the photos, it was a very difficult light to get the true colour of the car (it's actually a stunning deep blue!). I think need I to start bringing my proper camera to work!

Spent the afternoon at Ian's autos in Brackley today.
I was asked to make the cab of this Transporter a little more pleasant to work in, as it was in need of some electrical work behind the dashboard.
... Not one to shy away from a challenge I set to it, using the steam cleaner, extractor for the seats, and lots of Krystal Kleen Detail Citrus Magic!!
After much scrubbing and about 5 buckets of very murky brown water from rinsing out dirty clothes, I finally got it looking a little more respectable.
Great to be working alongside another local business, even if it wasn't the most glamorous of jobs!

Had a full day Tuesday working on this tough looking Volvo V50.
The aim was to improve clarity and reduce the swirling and light scratches, and then to apply a protective coating.
As you'll see from the before pics, the paint was looking very milky, and quite dull in places, and the car looked quite tired.
... After a thorough wash, decontamination including claybar treatment and tar removal, I set to work with both rotary and Dual action machine polishers to cut and then refine the paint.
Once finished with preparing the car, it received an application of Si-STAL. A silica based resin coating, giving a long lasting protection and gloss. The coating was then topped off with SiCOAT silicon polymer sealant, to further boost the glossiness. Both products are part of a wider range from Krystal Kleen Detail, who have proven time and again to develop top quality, no nonsense products, that perform as they should.
SiCOAT is also great to finish with when doing ongoing maintenance washes, to aid the the durability of the coating and keep gloss levels at their peak.

Started this week off with a Valet, plus a few extra's on this great little Corsa.
Standard safe methods of washing used, gloss was boosted with a rinse of Purity-X from Krystal Kleen Detail, and a coating of Mist-X, again from KKD.
A few light scuffs were buffed out by hand, and the engine bay had a light clean-up and dressing to make it a little more presentable.
... What a fantastic colour once it's all glossy and clean again!
