We prefer online entries as we can keep all entrants up to date via text of any changes, it saves you filling in forms at signing on and it helps us plan toilets, catering etc......and don't worry, if it is cancelled you will be refunded immediately. **PRACTICE DAY POSTPONED TO SUNDAY 23 FEBRUARY**
Due to flooding and fallen trees on the track we are postponing today's practice day to Sunday 23rd. All riders have received a text. Anyone planning to turn up and pay on the day stay in bed! Sorry but sure you'll appreciate safety comes first.

We contacted every rider who is booked into our practice day tomorrow to ask if they would still be happy to ride if the forecasted weather turns bad. Only a couple cancelled and the majority said they would be there come rain, sleet, snow gale force winds and whatever else Ciara throws at us!! So, we will be running the event tomorrow as planned. We will of course monitor safety on the day and if conditions are too harsh then the event would be stopped.
Unfortunately Sc...ott's catering van has had mechanical problems and won't now be there, so bring some food and refreshments with you!

DATE: 9 February 2020 VENUE: Woodheads Farm, Lauder, TD2 6RS
(DIRECTIONS) From Lauder town hall: head south on A68, turn right after police station and continue through housing estate and and follow road out of estate and past the cemetery. Continue past Woodheads Farm and follow orange arrows to event entrance.
OVERNIGHT PARKING: Overnight camping and parking is permitted at the event. Follow above directions to event. All generators must run on environmental mat, to be switched off by 10pm, and no bikes to be started between 8pm on Saturday evening and 8am Sunday morning. NO bike to be ridden in the parking area.

Bookings are coming in nicely for this Sunday's practice/play day at Woodheads, Lauder, TD2 6RS - looks like it's going to be a great event with lots of new riders being introduced to the sport! Toilets are ordered, Scott's catering van is booked and we're good to go.

All riders will be given a wristband at signing on. You will not be able to access the track without this so please be prepared to show this each time you go out on the track.

C'mon guys, first Enduro/H&H practice event of the year takes place next weekend, Sunday 9th February at Woodheads, Lauder, TD2 6RS. Excellent opportunity to get in some bike time and get your fitness back for starting off the season and for newbies an opportunity to get a taste for enduros/H&H with a view to entering races this year. This event won't be cancelled due to the weather as the track can cope with rain. The only thing that will stop this event happening is the lack of people signing up, so go online and get your place booked now. Next Sunday 9th February we are running a practice/play day at our Woodheads track. All practice days are fully insured and properly arrowed and taped. The track will be a mixture of woodland trails and the nice flowing enduro track we used for our championship events this year (no stubble fields)! A few of us rode this at the weekend and it was fantastic!!
Our practice days are suitable for all rider abilities, from complete beginner to expert. We will have 2 sessions pe...r day.
Session 1 (9am-10.30am): Youths/Novice/Beginners/Trail Riders/Greenlaners/Sportsmen. Session 2 (10.45am-3.30pm): All other classes/abilities.
Riders in the shorter Session 1 can also go out in Session 2 if they feel able. Youths aged 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult rider.
Good opportunity for you to get your fitness levels up prior to the start of the enduro season 💪 It’ll be a fun, relaxed day so if you are new to the sport and want to give it a go without the pressure of racing get entered!

DirtBike Evolution are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Hare and Hound and practice days at our new “winter” track just outside Gordon in the Scottish Borders.
As you know we have had to cancel numerous winter events and practice days due to the soil at Woodheads being unable to cope with large amounts of rain. Our new track at Gordon consists of 3 massive stubble fields which surround fantastic woodland areas with burns and more importantly all soil is red an...d sandy (good drainage and plenty grip). This track will be perfect for running winter events, regardless of the weather….so hopefully no more cancellations!
Our Woodheads track will continue to host our Scottish Enduro Championship events and summer practice days. The British Enduro Championship on 30/31st May, which we are delighted to announce has been awarded to DirtBike Evolution again, will also be run at our Woodheads track.

We have made the decision to cancel our practice day on 29th December. Steven inspected the track/land at the weekend and it's saturated. We would need warm dry weather for a significant period of time to dry this up and it's realistically not going to happen. 😤
Decided to reach this decision early early so that everyone can get their entry fees refunded before Christmas.

PRACTICE DAY CANCELLED!!! again....We are gutted to be cancelling this again especially after having no rain all week! Torrential rain this morning and Steven’s currently stuck in the mud in his pickup at the track!! Toilets are on site, catering organised, paperwork done so you’ll understand that we really really wanted this event to go ahead. I will fully refund everyone’s entry today/tomorrow. We are going to keep an eye on the weather and the track conditions and when it improves we’ll organise a last minute practice day so keep an eye on our facebook page. Sorry guys 😞

Timings for Sunday's practice day:
Session 1: Riding between 9am-10.30am Signing on from 8am. Once signed on take your bike to scrutineering and head out on track at 9am.
... Session 2: Riding between 10.45am-3.30pm Signing on from 9.30am until 12pm. Once signed on take your bike to scrutineering and head out on track any time after 10.45am once Session 1 riders are off track.
If you have been out in Session 1 and want to go out again in Session 2 you must let me know at the signing on tent so I know who's out on the track.
Scott's Catering van will also be with us all day so you'll be well fed! 🍔😋

So we have enough bookings to run the practice day this Sunday but after a full day of rain in Lauder on top of an already wet track we have made the decision to postpone Sunday's practice day to next Sunday the 24th. The track just doesn't cope with a lot of rain and it's currently waterlogged!
We have had a bad run of it lately with lots of cancelled events but those of you who know us know that we don't do this for the money (there is none!) so we won't run an event if i...ts not safe to do so! Riders safety and preserving the track and the land comes first and running an event on a sodden track just wrecks it and takes too much time to recover and fix.
Rather than cancel we have taken the decision to postpone for one week and then assess the track again next week. We understand that some riders won't be able to make the 24th so just drop me a message and I'll refund you asap.

Pleased to say that we have enough bookings to run the practice day this Sunday at Woodheads...thanks guys 😁 Online bookings will stay open until Saturday at 6pm for those of you who haven't entered yet. Pay on the day bookings will be accepted but you'll have to complete an entry form and licence form (if reqd) at signing on (those who have booked online will just have to sign a pre-completed day licence form if required). Will post timing details etc on Facebook before the weekend.

We are still quite a bit short in reaching the minimum number of entries required for our practice day this Sunday. Thanks to everyone who has entered already 😁 If you were planning on just turning up on Sunday and paying cash can you reconsider (and save yourself some dosh) and enter online please?
The weather report isn't looking too bad at all and we will need to make a decision on Thursday morning if it's running or not.
There's lots of novice riders entered and it'd be... great if it could run so that we can introduce those riders into the sport, so c'mon all you "old timers", get entered and get some bike time! As always, thanks for your support.👍
