Dm Design - Cumbernauld Showroom

Great company from start to finish. A couple of issues but were resolved quickly. Great looking bedroom.

We booked an appointment to get a design for our kitchen, which we are proposing to do in the new year. After our initial discussions in which we said we just needed a quick design and price the guy, who was nice enough, went through all the useless nonsense about their product. 4 hours later he produced a price for us. 4 HOURS. THE PRICE? about 50% more than what we were prepared to spend. However that was only if we signed on the dotted line that night. Price if we didn't sign that night another £20k more. My wife and I looked at each other astonished . Thats is 4 hours of our life we wont get back. Disgraceful way to sell kitchens.

When I decided to buy a kitchen from DM design I was super excited. Everything I wanted I could get but it soon turned to stress and delay after delay.

The tiler left the electrical sockets hanging off the wall which took 2 days to come and fix. An gas oven was fitted which doesn't work. Still waiting for it to be fixed 2 1/2 weeks later. The customer service is a big fat 0. They don't care that they're keeping you waiting, fobbing you off and leaving you without a way to cook with 2 small children in the house. Utterly disgraceful that they're not even sorry and no compensation to accomadate the amount of time I've waited and extra money I've had to spend to be able to actually eat.

I have a kitchen which isn't fit for purpose. Trading standards have been spoken to do and will be contacted again if it isn't resolved this week.

There will be NO RECOMMENDATION from me.

Amazing bedroom fitted by an amazing team. Well done DM Design, excellent and would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Next is the kitchen, once I speak with the husband!

I actually decided to write this, because I think it's such a shame that people use things like this to rant.. and people most often don't bother to write one when they're happy (like myself, usually) I have been so happy with all of the work that DM Design have done for us!! Would recommend to all my family and friends and have chosen to use them time again for different rooms, and when we recently moved house too.
I initially had my bedroom fitted about 7 or 8 years ago. Everyone I spoke with was really helpful and the guys that fitted it worked really efficiently. As it was a new build, they took out the wall on my built in wardrobe. Absolutely over the moon with it, and only wish I had decided to do it when I first moved there 5 years before, as I didn't realise how much I hated the lack of wardrobe space.
Last year we moved house, and used DM Design for our kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, as I was so pleased with my previous experience. I absolutely love what they have done for us!! They designed it round our family and what we need and want in our home. My kitchen is by far my favourite room in the house and friends and family always comment on it when they visit. It's obviously a fair amount of money, compared to B&Q or Ikea or that. But for me it's been worth every penny!! Would definitely choose to use them again if we ever move or need something else doing

The salesman made promises this company could not keep. He said they would tile the kItchen. They left the walls bare with huge holes and cables running in crudely hammered out runs. Then said they didn't do plastering or tiling. Got nowhere trying to resolve this and had to take them to court.

Really bad workmanship. Handles on the kitchen drawers fell off because the holes were drilled too big. It took 5 attempts over 2 months to fix them, they eventually had to replace all the drawers. Customer service is absolutely shocking. Once they have your money they don't care.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

I now only want to communicate with the managing director of this company.
Previous reviews follow a depressing pattern of hugely over quoting for a basic kitchen, which I naturally rejected, to be followed by a special "deal" at a price of a quarter of the original.
I should have been aware then, but we went ahead and ordered a silver gloss kitchen four years ago.
While initially pleased with the kitchen, the last year has seen firstly a problem with the fridge freezer doors delaminating.
These were replaced six months ago.
Then, earlier this year the same problem became apparent with another 17 doors and drawers - all of them!
Pictures were sent to Stuart who said that the guarantee would cover them.
However, a call out charge and fitting charge would be applied.
I am not happy with this.
The doors and drawers have been replaced today, and a demand for payment of over £200 made.
If you want you can invoice me for this and I will show this and the pics to the Trading Standards Office.
This kitchen was not fit for purpose and to demand payment for fixing it is outrageous.
I await your comments.

We had our kitchen fitted almost four years ago and were (and are) delighted with the result. I have had cause to call them twice in that time, once for a broken hinge (which was my fault) and today with a problem with a door. Each time I called the company were great, they sent me out two new hinges and offered to come out and fit them. Today I spoke to Stuart regarding the door which he has told me he will order a new one and let me know when its ready. No quibble no excuses great service and thanks again.

Work was done to a good standard can't fault the workmen ship. ....
They really need to work on there people skills, from the salesman to the owner there dealing with me was diabolical there was no real sense of control. Sighed agreement with the company was broken by them just got to a point that I needed my kitchen complete , l sighed the agreement on the 27th of April and still on the 18th of August (2016)it's still not completed ....
Can't wait till its completed so I don't need ever to deal with them again...

Despite being registered with TPS received a cold call from this company. Will be reporting them to the regulator.

Had a bathroom fitted by this company a few weeks ago and whilst it was pricey. The finish and standard is excellent and look forward to many years use.
